Out of those choices, I would just use Dax on it's own. I like the pp's suggestion of Dexter, nn Dex.
I grew up with a Dakota who went by Dax.

Being bluntly honest, it sounds trashy and lower class. It is begging for mockery.
I love Arthur! Don't love Art though. I like Henry a lot, too, but prefer Arthur. Although I may be biased because that is my son's middle name ;)
