I prefer Odessa and I much prefer Odette personally but I would like to meet an Odessa.
I don't think I would use it in the middle - it reminds me of Clair de Lune.

I love Lilith and all it's associations.
I read a book as a kid that had a character named Orlaith. She was the pretty daughter offered up as the prize to anyone who could solve the great riddle-challenge.

Yes, Pandora has a lot of negative associations. But I know the coolest Pandora and I love the mythology behind it!
Dulcinea is just too tied to Don Quixote's lady - the ideal maiden. I just can't see her being used for anyone else; the sweet meaning is also a bit too sweet for my tastes.
