Thank you so much. We think she's precious and she's such a good baby.

Our first baby girl (and baby) was born on August 30, 2013 at 8:10 am. We named her Saoirse Flynn. She weighed 8 lbs 1.5 oz and was 20 inches long.

Here's how I would say them.
Aaliyah - Ah-Leah.
Acacia - Ah-Kay-Sh-Uh.
Adelaide - Ah-duh-laid
Arabella - Ah-R-Uh-Bell-a or air-a-bell-a
Ariana - Ah-Ree-Anna or ah-ree-ah-na
Evelyn - Ev-Lynn....
Looking at the roster from Reese's spring olympics at gymnastics: 5 Addisons (spelled in a variety of ways) and an Addie, 7 Ann/Annas ranging from Anna Beth to Anna to Annabel to AnnMarie, 3 Avas, 4...

Sorry, it was late when I wrote that. I was simply saying that it was cool that you don't Flynn on a girl. You're entitled to your opinion. Sorry if that came across wrong. I was also saying that you...

Thank you so much! Flynn is one of those names I don't particularly care for on a boy, personally. We tossed around a few options, but Flynn was the one my husband latched onto, and I love it as...
My husband actually took my last name. We did a legal name change and everything. He wasn't too attached to his family or family name (a very common one), and I liked my last name and it was less...

I'll be 19 weeks on Wednesday (although we believe really I'm a few days behind that), and I got my ultrasound today. We're having a little girl! We're going to name her Saoirse Flynn. Our last name...
I like Lucian and Lucius best. Nn Luke for either, if you have to use a nn.

Just thought I'd mention this as far as somewhat "normal" names being spelled oddly...it could be an accident. In the times before tombstones were carved machines (the 60s or so, maybe?) they were...

I have weird associations with most of these...Talbot is a store. Blackwell is the first city outside of a dry county where my mom's family is from. And Adair is a guy's name to me (my mom works with...

Saoirse Flynn is growing on me, but I haven't brought it up to DH. I like the idea of something simpler following Saoirse. However, I want to do Loren, as that would make the baby girl a 4th...
I think Saoirse will become more commonly known with the actress Saoirse Ronan. Regardless of the potential hassles, this will be our baby's first name if it turns out to be a girl. Still trying to...
Jenna-veev. Though I could see, zhenna-veev, making the J softer.

We just found out that we are expecting. I'm about 5 weeks and 5 days. We already know our boy name: Shannon James D (last name starts with a D, has 3 syllables). We both really love Saoirse for a...
I have a friend who decided her parents were too young to be grandma and grandpa, so they're the "glamparents", "glamma" and "glampa".
I call my parents Mom/Mama/Mommy and Dad/Daddy. My paternal grandparents were/are Grandma and Grandpa, although my grandfather who died before I was born (I only knew my step-grandpa) is referred to...

I've known both a boy and a girl name Riley, so I see it as either one. Same with Bailey. For me, Devon/Devin is a boy's name, courtesy of an obnoxious boy from kindergarten. My sister's name is...

Dawn seems dated to me because my 30-something year old sister's name is Michelle Dawn. But I know a girl who is 16 named Robyn. The 'y' kind of seems to update it, and make it definitely female.
Sorry for any repeats (as everyone has said)
Fionnuala (fee-oh-new-lah, is how I've heard it said. nn Nuala new-lah)

I have a friend who married a Russian guy named Ilya. Their son is Nikolai. Fresh take on Nicholas if you ask me. Nicholas could work as well though.
