I wouldn't associate Ryker with Richard and I don't make a habit of looking up the meaning of other people's children's names. I think, with the exception of name buffs, most people would be the...

I'm Gemma, I get mispelt (Jemma / Jema) and mispronounced (Jenna, Jemima). My first son is Hayden, he gets Aiden and needs to spell his name as so many other strange spellings around. My daughter is...
There were lots of names I liked that I would have never named our child, for the simple fact I didn't want them to be teased and / or forever having to restate their name. If it wasn't easily...
I took from your post that your friends have a boy with that name now. If you are close, I would just say in conversation that you still liked and wanted to use the name and would they be upset if...

Sorry for any repeats

Thank you to you all
Congratulations. I always loved the name Ainsley (but can't use it with our surname)

It's a boy!! It took two days to agree on a name but I can now proudly announce that Tate Matthew arrived on 13 July weighing in at a very healthy 4050g.
Thank you to everyone who responded to my...

And it's official. Baby is named Tate Matthew. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Thank you. Baby has arrived and is a still nameless boy. Hubby is leaning towards Tate Matthew or Ethan Matthew. I don't like that kids will mispronounce Ethan to Efam (as I have seen lots of kids...

Haha I'll tell him that 3lle. I really like Cole but it is the surname of several close friends (common surname in our area).
I like Channing and Lyra but he thinks they are too 'out there'.

Funnily enough, he chose Hayden (no input from me) and Kaia was a suggestion of mine that he chose as liked the meaning.
I've run most of these by him and he just says no. No reason, just no. He...
I love the name Archer too, but my sister named her dog that :(
I'm having trouble finding a name I like as much.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Still haven't found anything that we both can agree on.
Although, the suggestion of Gemma Kate is very, very close to my name
I know an Acelin who goes by Ace. I didn't like it to start but it grew on me. It was cute when he was learning to talk and would tell everyone 'I'm Ace'.

Baby #3 is due later this week and we still haven't been able to agree on any names. Hubby likes traditional names, I like some 'trendy' names and some that are little unusual. I don't like...
Sorry it took me so long to reply. I had missed your suggestions. I love Willa but it is very sing-song with our surname (wind). I also really like Ainsley but am a little worried about teasing...
I like Hunter and Willow and Hunter and Mason or Logan
I took my husbands surname, but not immediately and I do still use my maiden name for some work purposes.
I have several friends who use their husbands' surnames in their private lives and have...
Not crazy and not alone. 38 weeks here with #3 (first two came at 39 weeks) and not a name in sight. Like you I just haven't found anything I love. I've stepped away for a break and come back weeks...

Unfortunately, some people don't know the difference between honesty / speaking their mind and rudeness. Lillian Rose is a perfectly nice name and your ILs don't get a say in it, unless you want them...
