We welcomed another boy earlier this month, Leo Elliot.
So we now have Charles Everett and Leo Elliot.

Asher feels biblical and classic to me and Ashton feels trendier, a la Ashton Kutcher. To me, the clear winner is Asher and either way you get the nn Ash.
I much prefer James to Jameson. I don't think anyone would call him Jim unless you wanted him to be called that. It's much more common for children these days to use their full names: Thomas,...

I like Asher a lot! I had ruled it out as a first name b/c our last name has a lot of SH sound in it, but maybe a consideration for the middle. Do you really think it's close enough to honor...

I think if we were to decide to use an honor name, I wouldn't want to stray too far from the original. Something like Art or Arto might work, but I'm not fond of either.
Wells is an example of...
I think the difference in syllables makes it so you don't hear the repeated er in a sing-songy or rhymey way. I think it's handsome.

We're getting down to the wire with baby boy #2. Our first is Charles Everett. Charles is my father's name and my wife's grandfather's name, my grandfather's name, etc. Lots of family heritage...
I love it.

I like the name Thea more than Megan, but I think Megan sounds much better with Ethan. What about Meg? Or Maggie?

Alice Matilda and Elliott Henry!
1 boy and 1 girl to go with my existing kid.
I thought of Thea too! Seems like a great compromise.
From your list, Clara is by far my favorite. Elena and Clara are lovely together. I like Willa next.
Sounds like you're not sure about Lark. Follow your gut. Honestly, I'm not a fan but I have an association with the name, so it's subjective. You said you also feel that way about Paige.
It would be unique on a baby now, but it might be a bit of a 'mom' name to have since to me, Heather is totally 80s.
I like Lila and Stella quite a bit! It would be nice to have another L somewhere in the middle of the name to keep the pattern!
For a boy: ...
Sorry, haven't figured out how to poll, but we are currently debating between Leo and Elliot for Charlie's baby brother. His name is Charles Everett.
Not sure yet about middles, I would just like...

Well it sounds like you've agreed on June, but just need to nail down the middle name. I'll try not to repeat. I'll also think a longer middle sounds best with June (unless you'd consider Juniper? ...

What about Elena? Elena Louise.
It brings what you like about Elise and a bit of Helena, but without the 'hel' part. (I say it 'uh-lay-nuh').

First choice Dean Everett.
Second Dean Malcolm.
I don't like Maverick, reminds of Sarah Palin...

My favorite is Gwyneth, which I think you can still nn to 'Gwen'.

I think the difference for me is popularity vs. trendiness. The year I was born Michelle was ranked #10 after firmly being a top ten name for a decade. After the year I was born, the name fell...
An 8 month old chubby baby named Mike. It was so funny to me because you just don't hear that name on children anymore!

Well, I have a Charlie so I think about this often. I'll just share some of the names on our list:
