Thanks you, fox! That was brilliant!
And p.s. -- I agree about Buster. Worse. Dog. Name. EV-ER!
I would like to write an article about naming your dog. I think it would be fun to include some pet names that owners have loved -- and maybe some owners have hated.
If you post, please include

If you don't get any responses, it will be because your tastes seem so singular that you are probably the best name generator you will find.

Love Archie! Go with that!
But if you are looking for more suggestions --
Also, it is fun to stray from people names for a dog. Hercules, Zoom, or Atlas could work --...

I think you are quite brilliant at pairings. I like them all except I am not on board with Jensen. But when it comes time to actually choose a name? Then you consider not so much the pairing as what...
Pretty. Unusual. Crisp. I would love to meet a baby Winter.

Ada and Archer
Rhys and Caughan. They aren't technically a sib set -- they are my nieces' dogs. (The nieces are sisters.) I do like it though and think they would make a good sib set.
I thought -- CHAIN?!?! Are you kidding? Perhaps that is an over-reaction, but on more considered second thought -- still no.
I LOVE the name Molly, but I do have a few reservations about it.
1. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but I thought it was hugely popular about 1978 when writer Erica Jong used it for her daughter....
I hated your poll -- because I wanted to check more than one box -- including, Yes, beautiful. I also like Geneva, but I voted for Briony. (I like the Bryony spelling even better.) I will read the...
This is an adorable list so I don't see how you can go wrong. I chose Poppy because I tend to like people names on cats and dogs, but Poppet is as cute as it gets and much more distinctive and...
I'm so in love with Maisie! But I think Amalie Blair Hernandez does have a ring. I am pronouncing it ah-mah-Lee -- I don't know if that is right.
They are really all great choices. Thessaly is...
Clancy is great! I just thought of that one.
Also, I don't know if you like nature names but they work for dogs. River, Rio, Bay, Ocean, Falcon, and Pine all work on a Golden.
One more suggestion -- I like Colter after the beautiful, famous bay on Jackson Lake in Teton and the famous western explorer. Teton works.
In your case, I would say among the most important goals is -- DON'T USE UP SOMETHING YOU WILL LATER WANT FOR A BABY! It is very easy to do when you are young -- and then your tastes in baby names...

End of message!
I hear ya' dramagrl. I wonder why Emily is regarded as more of a Katherine than a Lindsey. Yes, it was too popular for too long, but I think after cooling off a bit, people will come to hear it as...
I am also liking Maisie, Edith, Mirren, Ada and -- Fanny!
For boys, I remain a confirmed stick in the mud. :) I like Caspian, but I am too much of a nickname person to go with it --...
Yep, Haley is dated. If you use it, do so knowing that. If you want fresh, keep looking.

I love the idea of Tallulah-Belle! And let me throw into the mix Henrietta -- Etta or Hetta.
I also like your list. I think many of your choices would be cute on a Dane. I think it is more of case...
Is Eyelet too far out there? Simply -- yes. Even though my tastes error on the side of conservative, I think even by more liberal naming standards Eyelet is too weird. Other have made some nice...
Ooooh. Hard to choose! Two such great options! I like Caspian -- but I love Soren!
I do like Caspian just a shade better with Parisa, but I just think Soren is great choice. If it fits your baby,...

I know I'm odd, but I'm tired of Oliver -- for no defensible reason. It's one of the great names of our time. Maybe that is why! Of this lot, I rather like Spencer.
