Welcome Lila and congrats on your upcoming baby!
@Eryn - if I ever published anything I'd love to use a pen name because my actual name is super boring/common (Sosie being a nn I chose for myself)....
I voted for Violet Amélie Elisabeth. It sounds very beautiful and classic and I love that it has a lot of meaning for you. I also love Eliora (it's stunning!) but to me it's a bit of a tongue twister...
I quite like Dawn. It is a bit dated but I think it would be unexpected but cute on a little girl. I've also got a bit of a soft spot for the nn Dawnie. If it's paired with a more unusual longer mn,...

Henry, Jack and Lucy
Jack, Lucy and Nora
Amelie, Nora and Lucy
My favourite is definitely Serafina June. I'm not a fan of Willa, Sloane or Mila and Serafina goes really well with Luca. There are plenty of other nicknames for Serafina and I love Fia as some PPs...
I fell in love with Dinah when I first read the Red Tent. I always pronounced it Dee-nah and Die-nah sounds unnatural to me. I've never heard of "Someone's in the kitchen with Dinah" but that might...
My favourites are Audrey, Owen and Eve as well as Audrey, Owen and Lydia.

I like quite a few double letter names. Sorry for any repeats.

I really love August. Holden is way too tied to the car brand to me (although this might not apply to you, I'm not sure. If it doesn't, ignore.)

I haven't updated my GP lists for so long that I trawled through all my other lists to make some combos up on the spot. These are my updated favourites.

This was a really hard decision as I really love both names, especially with Nell/Nellie as a nn for Penelope but I ended up going with Arabella because it is classical yet unusual and sweet and...
It's hard to choose between Genevieve and Estelle but I'm going Estelle. It's so gorgeous and simple. Genevieve is obviously next then Violet. I like Violet but it isn't really on the same level as...
Happy birthday Ebs! I really hate camping too and it's been really hot and humid in my neck of the woods as well but now it's raining and I am so happy.
@Eryn - I read the Divergent trilogy and it...

I love longer names. Like a pp said it gives you as well as the child to choose their own nns to suit their own style. I also just like the sound of longer names. I do like quite a few short names...
I love Daphne Ella! It might not fit as well with Cade but IMO it still goes together quite nicely even if the styles are different. Congrats on your little girl either way!

If I ever do have kids, I don't think I'll really mind what my friends and family say, or at least, not for long. In the end it's about the baby and not the name it has been given. But even so, I...
Archer Finley and Coralie Winter

I say oh-say-AHN, but I've never met anyone with the name.
I voted Rosalie. It's very classy yet down to earth, and IMO I don't think it's just another Rose name. I don't know that many Roses and no Rosalies. It's also possibly my favourite name right now so...

The flow is a bit off but IMO I've heard worse. I actually quite like Clementine.
If you don't like Clementine how about Cleo? I always thought it could work as a nn for Clementine. There's also...

Arabella - I love this. I don't think I would use it but it's definitely a guilty pleasure of mine
Aurelia - I also love Aurelia, it's timeless and classy and has the most beautiful sound

I voted Daphne but I also really love Delphine/Delphina and Danica.
January 14th, 2015, 04:10 AM
I voted Josie Lynn, it's very cute and I love Josie.

For boys my favourite combo in terms of the flow of all the names is probably Henry Asher David. For girls it's a little more tricky. I can't decide between Elowen Saskia Eve, Polly Matilda Iris and...

I agree with @splinteredruler. I love Grace, especially as a first. It is sweet and timeless but can carry a lot and works for any age. I love Rowan but it's all boy for me.
