I like: Eleanor/Eleanora, Elora, Leona, Elsa, Emelia, and Ellie
-He thinks Eleanor/Eleanora, Leona, & Elsa are too old sounding, doesn't like the sound of Elora, doesn't like Emelia, and thinks...
@kmdharrington; neither of us like Sybil or Edda sorry :(
@kitty_queen7; I like: Eleanor, Elizabeth,
-He thinks Eleanor is too old, Elizabeth is too plain, and Della sounds like "Deli" to him
I actually kind of like Nella (but my fiancé doesn't) but the others are a bit too ornate for us :(
The names don't have to have the nickname Ella; I just really like the sound of it (I don't...
I like: Ellie
-He thinks it's not enough to stand on its own
He likes: Ellery and Ellison
-Ellery reminds me of "celery" and I much prefer Ellison for a boy (I don't really like son names for...
Promise this will be the last post of the day, hahaha!
We're pretty sure "Emmy" will be a no for us (:() so we're looking into our other options. My next favorite isn't my fiancé's favorite and...

I like Gemma but my fiancé doesn't and neither of us like the sound or look of Noemi. We're absolutely positive at this point that we are not looking for any longer forms of Emmy because we don't...

Emmy is one that we truly love (which is weird to say since all of our other favorites are names that we can't use) which is why I think we are trying to hold on so badly. However, it seems as though...

@lovemysweeties, we've never heard the pronunciation "lil-ah" where we live it's always "Lie-lah" which we prefer (lil-ah sounds incomplete to both of us)
@jesslyn, neither of us watch Dexter so...
My fiancé likes Emerald, but I just can't get behind it. I've never really understood why people named their child something then called them by their middle name; I can understand nicknames coming...
We've come to an agreement (sort of) that if he really can't picture Emmy as a first name then we'll probably end up letting the name go, since neither of us just want to use Emmeline if we don't...
Clementine was suggested on our first post but my fiancé doesn't like it at all. We really do not want other full names for Emmy, because at this point we are certain that we will never love any of...

I like: Lillian/Lily
-He finds them a bit boring
He likes: Layla and Arriah
-I've always associated Layla with a not-so-nice word and I don't find it attractive and to me, Arriah looks like a...

@waverly123, I don't have a problem with Lucy as a full name. I agree with you that it is well established and works on its own. My fiancé doesn't share that same opinion though :(
If you've seen either of our posts, you'll know that we both really love "Emmy".
The problem is we don't love any full names for it. The only name that we could remotely agree on as a full name...

I also like Elsa and Lola but my fiancé doesn't. At first he thought he could get on board with Lola but now he thinks of it as a dog name (and he finds Elsa too old)

The only name we could probably compromise on as a full name for Emmy is Emmeline (which neither of us are thrilled by still). The others sway too much one way or the other (meaning more my way or...

I like: Emme, Emiliana, Ivy, and Fiona
-He thinks Emme as "M" sounds even more incomplete than Emmy, Emiliana is too over the top, "Poison Ivy" ("'nuff said"), and "Shrek" (again, "'nuff said")

I have a friend named Manuela (Manu) so Emmanuelle is too close for me and we both think Emmanuelle is really long and somewhat complicated.
I can't remember if Empress was a real or serious...
Oh wow...some people have no tact.
To be perfectly honest with you, I've never been a fan of hyphenated names. Where I live they tend to be "low class" (or as some people call them "trashy") and I...

You guys seriously rock! :D My fiancé and I have a good eight names that we can both agree one and actually use (which is more than we had before posting!)
Now I'm just curious what reactions are...
I like: Charlotte
-"Charlotte's Web" ("'nuff said")
I've never understood why people used a name as a middle name and then called the baby by that name. It just doesn't make any...
My fiancé likes Addison but I don't find it pretty and Madalyn tends to get called "Maddie" 9 out of 10 times and Addison, from the ones I have met (which is about 3 I think?) get called "Addie"...
Hahaha, we're both pretty head-strong and picky! He thinks Sadie is OK and it reminds me of horses (maybe because I knew a girl named Sadie who loved horses?)
I like: Daisy, Alice, and Ruby
-"Daisy Duck" ("'nuff said"), "Alice in Wonderland" (and too close to my name, which I can agree with), "Max & Ruby" (and Ruby just isn't adorable to him)
I like: Emilia/Emelia, Emily, and Emma
-He doesn't like Emilia/Emilia (looks like a misspelling of Amelia to him) and finds Emily/Emma boring/lacking something special
He likes: Ember, Emerson,...
