So happy for you! (This is the name I would've chosen, too. Ella is beautiful and has been a favorite of mine for a long time.)

I went to college with a girl named Elspeth in the mid 2000s in America.
No, I like it much more than those other options.

I don't think Friends or Lewinsky will be a big deal. Yes, Lewinsky was a big scandal. But, I don't think it was as big as Watergate. And really, how often do people talk about either of them...
Named my favorite car this.

It has an ancient history (believe it was St. Augustine's mother?) and is pretty and not overused. If you love it, use it!

I think you're just the front guard on bringing back these names! I like Florrie, Ethel, Doris, and Dottie. The rest seem a little old lady to me, but like others have said, people once loved these...
Rosaline (but I like Rosalind better)

I don't think Archie words (Arthur is on my super short serious list, too, and I understand your wanting more nn options, because I don't LOVE Art/Artie, but I'm willing to go with it), but I think...
I've known of two Dorises, and they've both been very nice. I kind of like Doris. :) But, I also like Dora and Dorothea.
