Roman and Remy were both on my list :)
Right now we are torn between Oskar and Theo.
Other names on our list, in case they may appeal are:
Remus (nn Remy)

Your daughter's name is so exotic-sounding and has great history. None of the boys' names on your list really feel the same, so I completely understand how you feel they are lackluster.
I would look...
Asa (AY-sah). Thanks! I still don't like this one very much. It sounds a little feminine.
August is great though. As is Augustus.
I voted August. I wouldn't know how to pronounce Asa. It looks like ASA (aspirin)and sounds a bit like "ass".... Where is it from?

So my background is in Latin studies. I didn't study Old German or Anglo-Saxon, but knew a bunch of people who did when I was in grad school :)
From what I can tell, the –rich ending in Ulrich is...

I like Dexter – both Dexter and Declan can have the nn of Dex, which is fun.
I have a friend whose two sons are Declan and Lincoln. She calls them Dex and Link.
Also thinking of Gabriel from...

Hmmm no, we never picked those names out (we being me)… I like Gabriel, but it’s not quite unusual enough. Gustav is not my style and Frank is a bit too old-fashioned. I’ll bring them up. Our tastes...

Boys' names are so hard for me, so I completely understand!
Cecilia: Seems like an older name, but using the nn Cece makes it a bit more modern to me.

Help! My husband and I can't decide on a name.
He goes through favourites - he has always been obsessed with Magnus (I refuse). In December he decided Corbin was his favourite. But then switched to...

I love the name Kellan. It's my sister's boyfriend's name, otherwise it would be on our short-list right now for our baby boy. Sigh.
I am not a fan of Wyatt. To me they are completely different...
I voted Callum by default. I don't like Kian and wasn't sure how to pronounce it... and Caius is just well, like naming a baby Caesar. Or Nero :)

Well, when spoken it could be Mile O'Shay. :) So even though it flows, I guess the first 2 names kind of run into each other.
I'd never heard of it as a name until I read that Reese Witherspoon named her boy that... not a fan, personally. But I like the connection. Maybe as a middle name?

Hi! I'm new on this board, but found the thread while searching for Innes I believe.
I just thought I'd pipe in because a few names you have on your list are also on mine: Innes, Drake, Wolf, Damon,...
