We were Team Green, and only had a solid boy name when we went to the hospital. When I saw her sweet face, I knew her name was was her father's favorite from my long Name Nerdy list. A couple days...

Well, I have a three year old Greta so I totally think it's ready for a comeback! We've actually met two other little girls named Greta since she was born and know of newborn twins named Greta and...

1. Penelope Marlowe - I love this. Penelope's got that vintage offbeat feel and Marlowe is modern cool. Together, it's just so chic.
Vivienne Larkin - This is my preferred spelling of Vivienne. I...

@Dovah - You have great taste! I absolutely adore Josephine. My husband didn't really love it at first, but I lucked out that my father-in-law's middle name is Joseph. :)
As usual, you berries are...

I used to want four. But now that I have one, I'm thinking two is a pretty good number.
My husband and I both have four siblings and while we love them, we aren't sure if we want the same kind of...

I love Daphne!
My favorite from your boys' list is actually Dane. It's so handsome and underused.

We are planning to TTC very soon, so of course I'm looking to freshen up my name list. I'm looking for something new, so I don't want to include our short list just yet, but I tend to favor off-beat...

@appalachian_lady - Thanks! We really love it.
I think hubby agrees with you about Matilda as he suggested it quite a few times.
Thanks for the suggestions. I really like Florence, Alice, Hugo,...
I'm super late posting this, but our wonderful Gret@ Josephine arrived in June.
Greta means pearl, which is our shared birth stone. Josephine is a favorite of mine, and although it wasn't hubby's...
1. French name?
2. Irish? (Bonus: how do you feel about Gaelic spellings?)
Cairan. And stick to the original, I say.
3. Name from a TV show? (from which show?)
Dexter, from Dexter...
We're not TTC yet, but I'd like some fresh ideas to update my list. What would you name a sibling to Greta Josephine?

I love Beatrix. Like, so much. And I'm completely jealous your husband likes it... I think mine only tolerated it being on our list because I adore it so much.
So, Beatrix Grace easily gets my...

LOVE Clementine Mae! Violet Mae is nice, too, but definitely doesn't sparkle like Clementine. I'm not a fan of Adelyn at all, really.
I voted for Adrielle Grace and Everly Madeline, mostly because Everly Madeline is my favorite from your list. Personally, I'd pair it with Amity Camille.

Oh, I like Bluebell. But I also LOVE Clover and really like Elsie, so maybe I have a thing for fanciful cow names.

Congrats on your engagement! I remember the days when I had to supress my name-nerdiness. I'm glad that's over, for both of us, now!
From your boy's list, I quite like Sullivan Webster. Elijah...

1. Nova Genevieve - Nova seems so lovely and refreshing. Love Genevieve.
2. Catherine Noelle - You can never go wrong with Catherine (I prefer it spelled this way, too). Noelle is very pretty.

I'm not a huge fan of the boy-name-on-a-girl trend, either, but it definitely isn't the worst thing. The super cutesy, infantilizing girl name trend is far worse and, to me, has a much more negative...

My favorite girl's name of all time is Avalon. I love the sound, the way it looks and the mythology of it. Just saying it feels magical to me. Unfortunately, DH thinks it's kinda silly... but...
I love love LOVE August James! Swoon.
August is my first choice if this LO is a boy, but DH will only commit to Henry or Oliver (which I like, but I'm an August fanatic, too). Sigh.

Love Caspar! I definitely prefer it spelled with a C. Marek is okay, I guess.
I like Bravery. It could be a lot to handle as a first name, but I think it would make for a super fun middle.
