Immediately thought James Brown, and that it sounded silly, like the name was turned into a verb. "James Brown-ing." Dealbreaker for me, for sure.

Leonor Eualalia is a mouthful of L's and a very uncomfortable tongue-twister to me. I can't envision that adding another middle name would help.
All of your names are so charming, evocative, and...
Confused about the Romeo nickname...I was hoping you meant more like as a silly nickname you only use in private, like poo bear or something? People would definitely think that you named him Romeo,...

Bennett - Sounds really cute with your sibset
Jude - Middle name territory
Adler - I'm on the fence. Consider pp's comment regarding the meaning of the Germanic word.
Quinn - Strong and...
Thank you so much for the kind welcome and encouragement, @mulme944! I have an appointment with my nurse midwife next Monday, and I'm also getting an ultrasound so I really *really* hope I'm lucky...
I was a behavior specialist in another career life, and I highly recommend the RIE approach. Janet Lansbury's blog is a great introduction to it: (this is a section regarding discipline) ...
I guess it's time for me to join this thread! I posted in the TTC one earlier but in a nutshell, had a BFP on 8/3 and have been feeling very nervous ever since that this pregnancy won't stick. I had...
Well, I think this is it for me. I got a BFP back on 8/3 but I just was in such disbelief... I really thought I didn't have much of a chance of conceiving this month (timing was off and I had NO good...
Pretty much exactly this. So sweet that you found the dream to be so meaningful, but Erica feels uncomfortably dated to me. Could you picture a baby boy born today named Eric? They're both names that...
This is fun!
Ava vs. Eleanor-- Eleanor
Mia vs. Isabelle-- Isabelle
Ella vs. Elena-- Elena
Natalie vs. Isabel-- Isabel
Hannah vs. Elise-- Hannah
Lillian vs. Kate-- Lillian

Aidey. Like from the last syllable of the name.
Lol!! I had the same thought last week! :) It is weird to think about how this particular egg, mixing with one particular sperm (out of hundreds of millions) will make a completely different human...

None of those names are comparable to Macsen, which is a legitimate, non-invented, non-modern name with a real history. The others are nothing but trendy and eye-roll-worthy. I think they're awful.
^^I was wondering the same thing. Why so stuck on the double middle? When you said your fiance wanted to lose Lily, my first thought was "Oh, that's perfect, then. Carolina Grace is lovely." (and...

Sounds like you're saying "Belly Band." Sorry, doesn't quite work.
Do you have any other non-nickname names that you're considering? Or do you need more help building that list?
Neve definitely works, but Niamh being such a completely distinctive and entirely separate name, the sound of which is arguably present in the name, but the spelling not at all, doesn't work. That...
I have a hard time picturing it on a baby. Maybe because I know a few 30something year old women with the name, and it feels like it's from that era. I guess I'd have to agree that it seems dated.

I agree about Sylvia instead of Sylvie. Great match with sister.
Cadence is lovely, though, and it's (sadly) refreshing to see the proper spelling of the name/word used rather than a bunch of K's...
I think there are many problems with Lux. All the ones previously mentioned, but the most obvious one to me being that the word "lux(e)" is meant to describe something luxurious. I wouldn't want my...
I'm also a little concerned about the Irish last name ending in "y"... sounds like it could be very rhymey with Delaney. Making the name not "ridiculous," exactly, but maybe not the most...
Phoebe and Amelia. For sure.

I'm actually a little surprised that Aurora has been solidly in the SS top 1000 since they started counting. I've never met a single person with the name.
Husband absolutely loved it until I...
@katieree so sorry to hear about your m/c, but that sounds like wonderful news that you won't have to wait to try again. I had a chemical last month and am now on CD16 and I think today is my O day....
Lol about the accent! I can see how that might do a number on certain names, haha! I am jealous though. Wish I had a cool accent.
Yeah the biggest issue I'm thinking as far as saying the name is...
