Angus Loudon arrived! He shares his daddy's birthday. He has hazel eyes (for now) and a moderate amount of Strawberry-blond hair. We chose the name Angus for its meaning ("one, unique strength") and...
This! Love this idea!

We also used family middles for both of our boys. Alexander is a beautiful middle name. It will go...

You have more self-control than I do, Mama! I'd have "gone off" on my hubby already! lol
At six months post-partum, you are not even fully recovered from childbirth yet. Heck, at 17 months pp from...

Thank you for the wonderful, sincere feedback. Although it was a slightly "mixed bag," the berries are far more positive about Angus "Gus" than other sites have been. Your (the berries) opinions...

I'm having 11-th hour doubts about baby Angus' name.
DH and I fell in love with this name a year and a half ago, when I discovered it on NB. We loved its meaning "one, unique strength," its history...
Don't worry about it. If I loved a certain month-name, I'd go with it, regardless of when my baby was due.

I personally had a strong gut-instinct with my firstborn. I "just knew" by 6 weeks. I would have been shocked had the ultrasound or delivery revealed a girl! But, then, perhaps it was just wishful...
marie- I love your profile picture. They are adorable.
It's amazing how mother's intuition as to gender is so often spot-on. We just seem to "know." At least, I did with both of my boys.

We conceived both of our sons the second cycle we tried. Both times we used condoms as our only form of protection for about 6 months as preparation for ttc. I mention this because hormonal birth...
I just want to comment that 6 weeks is very, very early. It would have been surprising had you been able to see a heartbeat. 7 weeks is the earliest I've ever heard of a HB being detected, and even...
Based on your boys' names, I'd say the criteria is:
*surname as first name
*double letters somewhere
*at least two syllables
*clearly gender-defined (Bennett and Campbell sound unmistakably like...

I adore Cora. There's a mum in my church with an infant named Cora, and she is just so darling!
I think Cora matches best with the understated elegance of Tess and Hattie.
I'm pregnant with #2 and have been sicker than a dog. I literally threw up 10 days after he was conceived. And there is no chance my calculations of his dates are off.
I was so sick for the first...

This thread inspired me to take some time to write a brief birth plan, and I wish I could upload it for feedback from the berries, but the file size is too large. :-/
I did not make a plan for my...
