I had no idea Merle was ever used for girls. For me it's 100% male, and I think would get mistaken as a boy with your sibset. I also think it sounds too close to Vale. I do, however, love Maude...
I just wanted to jump in to say I have a friend Keir, and I don't think he was teased about his name when we were growing up, but maybe I don't remember. I like it, and I like Ciaran even more. :) ...

I think Rowan Winter is lovely!
My first thought was star trek, and my second thought was voyeur. I can't get on board with it as a name, sorry.
I think of pastries, but I've never heard of it before.

My husband and I are expecting our first, long awaited, babe in early January. We are having a tough time with girls names!
I'm looking for some names I haven't thought of yet, and I like...
I like the name Quinn, and I like your combo :) , but just so you know, I'd expect a Quinn to be a boy - in case that matters to you!
Yup, my first thought was Greyjoy? It's a nice name, but the association with that character might be a bit much right now.
I prefer Lauren, because Laura has been so overused. I've never met a Lauren. Laurel is even better if it's an option.

I love love the name Cyprian, and Cyprian Edward is my fav of your combos. :)
Very nice. I think Aurora and Charlotte go the best with Lu.
I think it is 100% a girl's name (a very lovely girl's name). I'd much prefer Jude for a boy.

Great names! My top 5 (it was tricky to rank them)

I love your name style :) I like Simon and Theodore best with Vincent, and I also love Samson (nn Sonny)!
Here are a few from my list that I think might go with Vincent:
I can't decide about Quinn. I think it has likeable qualities, but in the end I always end up feeling it's a bit too unisex, which isn't my thing.
And as much as I love the name Joy, I do think...
Love Dominic, and I think it would go better with Smith and with his sibling
I prefer it for a boy, but I don't think I've ever met a girl Riley.
My great grandmother's name was Elsie. As far as I know it wasn't short for anything.
It's a great name, and I don't think Rupert Bear would be the first thing people think of. (I'm Canadian, but I know the show).
I have to agree.
I have to agree with many of the other posters. Calla is a lovely name, but I don't really like Miette with it, sorry. I don't think the two names together have the best sound, and the word in...

wow I had no idea Darcy was being used as a girl's name. I couldn't figure out what the problem with the name was at all!

As soon as I read the thread title, I immediately thought of Imogen. I honestly didn't even know it was an old name until recently.
I'm a huge fan of the name Grant! I think it's a perfect-at-all-ages name.
I'm considering Henry, and the other names I think go with it are:
