Sansa has always sounded weird to me because it's the word for the olive oil waste in Italian (my first...

Aglaia. It's my favorite name (of both my girl and boy lists), it's very meaningful for me and I'm not 100% sure I won't use it, but the assonance with the word ugly bothers me a lot.

I love Edmund and Frederick (with this spelling), but I dislike the nicknames. The only one I wouldn't mind is Ed, but I can't say I like it.
Natala is not italian, Natalia (pron. nah-tah-LEE-ah) and Natalina (but I don't recommend this one) are.
I love Sofia but I wouldn't use it because of its popularity.
I also like Willow and Amaia...

Thalia was also the name of one of the Charites, so it's strongly tied to nature. But I consider it a spring name, not wintery.
I voted Flora Grace because I love Flora, but I don't like Grace.

I live in Italy, but I didn't ask because I want to use this name, I was curios to see how it is perceived :)
It's a variant of Muriel and reminds me of Merle Oberon so it sounds feminine to me.
I like the sound, the meaning and the blackbird association. I think it would be perfect for a little girl born...

In Italian we say NEH-veh :) It's a nice name. But I don't know if the pronunciation could cause problems in English.
We have a different idea of class I guess :)

It doesn't mean rebellion but Guia (GOO-yah) is the feminine form of Guido/Guy. I've always loved this name.
I love Victor. Vincent is nice but Victor has a stronger sound.

That's how it worked for me. My family and older friends still use my legal name. Actually some newer friends prefer using that one too. Currently I have four flatmates and two of them use my legal...

Though I wouldn't be able to change my name completely, I go by a nickname that has nothing to do with my real name. It's a variant of a family name and I would like to add it as second name to the...
