Lol, us too! I don't know why we didn't think of it before, but right now it seems pretty perfect. Thanks again!
Thank you all for your comments! Actually, we really like the suggestion of Henry and it may very well have moved right to the top of our list. Thanks!! :)

With your girls, I really like Olivier and Xavier. :)
Playing with boy names now. If we have a boy, the one name we've agreed on so far is Nathaniel, but I've just come across Colin and I think it has potential. Which name do you prefer? Last name is...

Thanks! It's true that few people would know her middle name anyway, and even if they did, it wouldn't be a source of teasing I think. People might just think we're really into flowers. ;) Otherwise,...
If you're a German speaker, sure, otherwise I would switch the last e for an a to get ahr-lay-neh pronunciation.

Nothing is set in stone until the baby is here, but it is our current favorite. :)

With Elora, I love Maeve - a strong name, but also just as magical as Elora. :)

Thanks! Since we live in Canada though, there are quite a few French speakers around here. I wonder what they would think... Would Rosalie Violet (to use a fully English equivalent) be too much then?

Hi guys, What do you think of Rosalie Marguerite? Since Marguerite is French for daisy, does it come up as too much or too cutesy? Our last name is one syllable. I love the sound of those two names...

Was browsing through some of my old posts and came upon this reply from Lemon - wow, thanks for such a thorough, well thought response! It makes me want to put Daphne back at the top of my list, and...

Well, after reading all your comments and talking some more with my husband, I believe we have a winner: Rosalie! Simply because out of the three names, it's the one my husband likes the most. As for...

Yes, I've found that too. Strange, isn't it? I guess Scooby Doo is to blame. ;)

Amelia goes by her full name for now, but I could see that changing once she starts school. That will be up to her I think. :)
We do love Rose for Rosalie. I like Rosie too, but my husband...

I believe this is it, our final 3!
Please help us choose. All three sound good with our last name (1 syllable). Which one do you like best or least, and why? Do you have...
I ran into the "it doesn't sound serious enough" problem with Daphne before (still love that name though), and wanted to test the waters here to see if Rosalie was perceived the same....

Yup, that's basically the name of all the other little girls at my daughter's daycare. They all sound very similar. Her own name, Amelia, stands out - a little - by being longer, but today's popular...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I guess my main concern is whether or not Rosalie sounds too cutesy for a grown-up/professional woman. Maybe because the only Rosalies I know are all very young....
The name hunt continues!
What do you think of the name Rosalie? How do you picture her? How popular is it around where you live? Do you think it is forever tied to those vampire books/movies? ;)

Not being familiar with Jewish custom I'm afraid I can't help you re: Alice, however here are some suggestions you may like. Good luck!
Thanks, those are very pretty descriptions! So no one thinks it may sound too posh? That's also one of our concerns with Delphine (but at least, it sounds like those names will be taken more...
What is your opinion on the name Marguerite? How usable do you think it is? What is your favorite nickname option with it? What person do you picture with that name? Big sister is Amelia. Thanks!

Just read all your comments with my husband. Again, thanks so much for your help! I still like Daphne a lot, but we now wonder if she would be taken seriously with that name. :/
We also really...

Oh wow, thanks everyone, I didn't expect to get so many replies! I'll read them all to my husband tonight, see what he thinks and if it helps him make up his mind (me too!). At the moment he prefers...
