I like your choices! I think Sam is less likely used than Cameron and Rhys-which seemed heavily used from 1999-2005.EVerbody loves a Charlie.
But I do think Samuel Evans "Sam" fits the bill!
Jane was so overused in all the 1940's primary readers and carried on for 20 years and them some. It was so worn out it was put to bed....now after 50 years a Jane would almost sound refreshing! :-)
I would definitely feel quite sorry for a girl with the name of Peony. There is still horrible ways of bullying in school and I could only feel this child's name would be the brunt of many cruel...
