I love Mary. I've recently added it to our list (to replace Alice) since it's a classic that I feel is fresh again after years of little use. I don't think the religious aspect would matter at this...
I love Ramona!
I don't really think the fact that Ramona Quimby had the same middle name matters. Most people don't read the books anymore.
I do like pp's suggestion of Ramona Tess. I also...
Out of your list I LOVE:
Gorgeous and go great with brother's name. France is cute but I would love it best as a middle, all by itself, like with Cecily France. Eve or...

I agree with others; go with Lana. Sure, not everyone will pronounce it right, but a lot of names are like that. Lonna could be pronounced "LAWN-uh" and I don't think that's what you want. And I...
Little ol' Lucy all by herself is one of my very favorites, but I also like Lucinda. I agree with pp's suggestion about Lucienne as well! Beautiful. Lucille is also nice.
I'm with you on the...
I do agree that Peony is a beautiful flower but honestly, I think you would just be asking for your little girl to get teased :(. I am often one to say "Hey, any name has teasing potential! Kids...
I agree with pp. The Nameberry top names don't really mean anything about popularity.
According to SSA rankings, Violet is #69, while Autumn is slightly higher, at #65. Violet is...

I think it works, if it is a bit of a stretcg. I much prefer Ginnie or Ginny to Georgie!
My two cents: I love Ginny, and Ginevra is my favorite way to get it.!
I've never liked this trend, but it's just my opinion. If you are going to do it though, I suggest just using the real spelling of the name (i.e. Carson instead of Karsyn). I don't think feminizing...

Story of my life :) I fell in love with Ava about 15 years ago. Then Reese Witherspoon used it, and it shot up. Lucy is following suit it seems, and Alice I'm guessing will head up there soon. :(...
Bryony and Sydney are my favorite y names, since the y is already supposed to be there :)
If named that end with y count, Cecily and Emily are lovely.
This is probably my second favorite name right now. I think it's beautiful and classic, and unexpected at this point. Janie for a little on is precious. I love Jane! Unfortunately, Janie 100%...

Verity! It's beautiful. Sybil has never been my cup of tea.

Most people aren't name nerds, so they probably won't think "Wow, her mom is so unoriginal!" :) Personally, I like middle names to have some sort of meaning, so I want to put names tied to family in...
Orchid_lover, thank you for your defense. Iwillpraise, I am sorry if I offended. However, you posted a story with a detailed description of a family (down to their ethnicity) who presumably are not...
I feel like anything could go with Phoebe, since it's so versatile!
Phoebe and Lucy
Phoebe and Claire
Phoebe and Juliet
Phoebe and Jane
Phoebe and Celeste
Phoebe and Elsa
Phoebe and Elise...

Eleanor is great! I agree with pps that it isn't going to get that popular. I would recommend the Eleanor spelling. Using Elinor won't really change whether or not there are other Eleanors in her...
I still like Emily. It's still popular but it's classic. I also dislike Amelina but, strangely, love Emilia.
My favorite short, simple names are:
I, like many other posters, hate the Mc and lyn names. I can't take someone who names their child Brooklyn (or worse, Brooklynn) seriously.
Other names that makes me shudder:
Olive. I know...

I think it would be an awesome middle, but not good as a first name. Especially because, what will people shorten it to? Flan? Flanny? Not very pleasing to the ear.

I much prefer the streamlined spellings- Annabel and Isabel or Isobel (I don't like Anabel because I think it can be mispronounced to AH-na-bel). The "belle" sound at the end already makes the names...
Ivy, Emmeline, and Celia are my favorite from your list. I think Ivy goes the best with Max!
Ellis is nms... I always mishear it as Alice (which I love). And Ellery always makes me think of...
Since you asked, I think Jayleigh is terrible. If they want the mashup, Estelle Jayleigh or Estella Jayleigh (or Jaylee even, why always with the -leigh endings?) would be better. But so many...

I think with the examples you posted, having a Zoe and a Lily (or Ruby), would be fine. If you have four kids named Zoe, Lily, Ruby, and Amy, it may get to be a bit much.
I do dislike when people...
