@southern.maple Aaron is my younger brother's middle name AND SO's middle. It's a two-in-one type name, but does it really match up with Tennessee stylistically?

@montegobay Thanks! I completely agree, of course. :)
@mtgv I brought up doing a double middle today with SO, actually. He didn't really like the idea. Oh well, I tried. lol Rex was one of my...

A celebrity stamp of approval is fine by me! ;) As for nicknames, I think they create themselves. I can SAY I'm going to call him one thing, but he'll probably end up being called something...

First of all, I'm sorry! I feel like I keep cluttering up the board with my threads. (Okay, there have only been like two others, but still.)
It has occurred to me that I haven't been thinking...
Colter Rylan? No, I don't like it. The -r at the end of Colter and the R at the start of Rylan run together.
Hi, hope you've all been well! You guys have such wonderful names picked out already. I guess I should expect that, considering where we are. ;) It's back to the drawing board completely for me,...

Congrats! :) I didn't have to go through the nausea thing, so I have no helpful hints or tips for coping, but I'm sure you've already gotten lots of good suggestions!
As for boy names, I know...

Wow, after replying to everyone, I have realized that my environment obviously plays a huge part in what I decide to name my child.
March 18th, 2015, 09:19 PM
@saracita00 I think the reason I can't picture those names on my child is because "out of the box" naming is discouraged (by way of peer pressure) where I live. This is a pretty conservative state....

@gr19 Where I live, Ashton is exclusively a girl's name, so I like that it's going to be "unique" for him and I don't think anyone gets the hyper masculine vibe from it around here. Lol Apparently,...

@colls19 Beckett is a nice one I haven't really thought of. The thing with Niall isn't that it's a dated "boy band" name now, but I just worry that it will be. In the U.S., Niall Horan is the only...

Don't get me wrong, I just want a healthy baby no matter what the sex, but I was hoping for a girl because my name prospects when it comes to a boy are slim. This will likely be a long post, so bear...
Elena goes well! It's becoming more known, so I think that helps. :)
I had my appointment today and found out that we have a boy on the way! The ultrasound was very clear. Lol So, now that my...
It ALL depends on where you live. Look up the birth anouncements from your local paper. Does it seem to be popular in your neighborhood/town? If not, you shouldn't really worry about it. I'm one of...
@lineska Oh yeah, I completely understand! Mine also loves popular/common names. haha That's why I was pleasantly surprised that he agreed to Rex!
@fanciful Rex Harrison is exactly where my love...
I agree with pp. Since you aren't having children for a few years, I think it's safe if you want to use it then. Though, there's no such thing as "stealing" a name.
Thanks, lineska! I should have taken the same approach, but my mother is (in addition to hating all of my choices) all too eager to talk names. I get the feeling she's trying to live vicariously...
Just throwing a few suggestions out there to see if any stick!
Those are adorable. :) But why is it making you not like James anymore?
This is our first and Stella is set in stone for a little lady. We still haven't found a boy name that we love as much as...

Why don't you think you can use her/your/MIL/SIL's middle? If anything, that honors several people at once! Unless you don't like the name at all. Lydia Darlene actually flows pretty well and I think...
Checking in/bumping the thread.
I'm having serious doubts about our boy name choice. :/ SO and I are the only ones who like it. I definitely feel like I shouldn't have told family because this...
You can subscribe to your own thread, I suppose, but I'm not sure if that will send you a notification. I replied to your other thread about the signatures thing.
I second Gaia! It's about as close as you can get.
Wow, I'm sorry the quality is so terrible, but hopefully you can tell what to do!
