I forgot about Christina Ricci! That's right, we never did learn her son's name.
Today - Fenna and Madeleva.
Fenna is BIG in the Netherlands.
Madeleva is really rare, but wouldn't it fit right in?

So today's blog post is all about names that weren't quickly revealed: http://nameberry.com/blog/baby-name-announcements-worth-the-wait-violet-luna-and-angelo. It got me thinking about names that we...
What a fabulous name - and love the meaningful middle! Congratulations!
I wonder if Jamesey works? No guarantees it wouldn't be said Jamesy, but the extra 'e' makes me think of surnames like Hennesey. I think you could just say "Jamesey, like Tennessee" and most people...
Keturah Petra Willow
Maren Penelope Wynne
Orion Patrick Wallace
I love Willem.
I also like the idea of naming a daughter after him - Willa or Willow. Different from those cousins William, but still a nod to your family name.
I think of them in two categories:
Rowley - Rowan
Rhett - Brett
Hector - Huxley
Milo - Miller
Seneca - Sinjin
Adelaide - Lainey
Dorothy - Thea
Sarai - Serena
Keturah - Ketty
Djuna Coraline (changed fn)

From 1 to 100:
I wonder what it is about Mars that appeals? Is it the meaning? If you're looking for a warrior name, there's Ajax, Evander, Viggo, Orion.
Or if it is the ends with s sound, Briggs comes to...
Love the Peter/Felix combination!
Hi jnoysie - congrats on #4! Are Griffin and Harley still options? I see them in your name list. I love Elliot and Griffin together, and Griffin Nathaniel is a great combination.
Great lists - I'd add Rex and Link for boys and Sloane, Bess, and Kate for girls. Jack and Kate have always felt like a timeless sibset to me.
I truly love both names, and August and Cordelia have been on my shortlists over the years.
My preference is August over Augustus and Cordelia over Delia, but those are just my tastes. I don't...

DD4: Josephine Isabeau -...

I love Isobel, but Isabelle makes me yawn.
Catharine is my favorite form of that name ...
And yes, Elisabeth over Elizabeth!
I might be the only one, but I love Skandar. It might be confused with Xander, but then, they share roots.
Drake and Skandar ... they just look like brothers to me.
My hesitation on Caedmon is...
I like Bravery, though I do think it is a lot to live up to. I'm less certain about Braverie. Visually, the spelling appeals to me, but it is a double whammy. Unusual noun names usually have the...

I think this is an important question.
Blade's comments are dead on ... I often follow links like the FB one, and I read the names with fascination, sometimes pages of them. But if I can't find...
Why not? I recognized her, and I'm sure others might, too. Even if they don't, there's as easy explanation. If boys can be named Orlando, why can't girls be Bradamante? She's lush and literary...
