thank you, bump.
Nooshi, re: Marie being an underused gem. Yes, this is why I am stuck. Of course, now, 2 hours later I am thinking of Esme & Thea, too. Of course.

It's beautiful and classic. Unfortunately, there are a lot of Madilyn and Madisons out there. But I am still considering it, despite the tack-on yuckiness that have almost ruined this classic....
If it isn't illegal to spell Madeleine as Madelyn in at least 50 states, it should be.
I love the name, but prefer Claire. Light, fresh, pretty. Classic. Educated. Well off. Parents are discerning, conservative in taste.
Madeleine, Marie or Linnea and why?
Thank you. Love classic names. The nickname "Maddie" is deterring me. But love the classic Madeleine. Please advise!

Poll: Ooooh! Why?
Poll: Felicity, Nola or Marie?
Hello, Looking for feedback & poll for Felicity, Nola or Marie. I am hoping Marie is a fresh choice. Nola means "little bell" and Felicity, I feel, is just a pretty, underused classic. Nickname Fliss...

Poll: Linnea, Neve or Aveline?
Can't decide! Linnea, Neve or Aveline and why?
Neve (pronounced like Neve Campbell) possibly as shortened form of Geneve, which I think is very pretty!

I like Elise, but struggle with it. Have you considered Elsa or Ailsa or Ella? I really like Callista and would use it if I could. (Can't have it w/ our surname)

I need your opinions on which is most lovely:
I am leaning towards Marin or Neve. They are my type of name, but I am a little frightened to take the...

OP here. Thank you for writing this. That is *exactly* my worry: the switching of the first letters (poor Shiloh Pitt) -- exactly why I worry. My husband thinks I am *insane* for even worrying about...

I am very sensitive to the teasing potential of our surname.
I have decided never to use C names with Hunt. Never. Ever, ever. I have been tempted, but it is a no-go due to teasing...
Ahhhh. Meredith. Very tempting. I am inclined to move towards Maisie for a nickname, but I know that is not intuitive, but there you have it. Such a pretty name, actually.
I think it is popular, but I love it. It's a family name for me. LOVE.

I have never liked Stella. Mary or Marie, on the other hand, I think is probably a fresh choice today! Ava, Emma, Olivia, Sophia and (breath of fresh air) MARY! Ahhhh.

I have a friend with a Golden Lab named Maple, so it's tough for me to shake the thought that it is a dog's name. The above poster is absolutely right about the gorgeousness of Francesca and the,...

OH! AND MAEVE IS GORGEOUS. How has Maeve been received by others? Any nicknames from Maeve?

Ottilie with the nickname Tillie is a guilty pleasure of mine. I am too conservative to use it, but admire it greatly on other people's shortlists!
Freya is quite popular across the pond and we...
