I would go with Garland actually. Maybe nn Lana?
Alternatively GH initials, Gloria Heloise, Greta Hazel, Greer Helena, Gale Hadriana, Gomeisa Hero, Grey Hannelore, Gaia Honour.
Magdalena is awesome with Penelope.
Matilda seems a little insubstantial or childish next to Penelope in my opinion...
Matilda is becoming so expected for me, and I adore Magdalena so that's what I voted for.
However, I much prefer Tilda to Lena.
Tilda is my preferred nn for Matilda, I dislike Tilly or Mattie....

I'm going to add Lita to all these great suggestions. Lita is a (sort of) term of endearment in Norway, along the lines of 'little one' only exclusively feminine.
And I prefer Lilu spelled Lilou....
I would say refreshing. But they need decidedly non-boring middles! No Grace/Rose/Elizabeth!
Helena is on my list, but I really like the more streamlined Helen as well (the same way I love both...
I prefer Rosalind :) Actually, I adore Rosalind!
Rosalie feels a little too sweet/cute to me. It would feel less cute without the roses connection though. As it is I think of roses and...
Just finished 'Dreams and Shadows' by C. Robert Cargill, it's been a very pleasant surprise ^^
Recommended for all lovers of dark fairytales or Neil Gaiman.
I haven't landed on which book to read...
Rosalind Mercy Louise!
All of those names are on my own list ^^
I think Ennis and Joan sort of diminishes Rosalind's clear femininity. I also think Rosalind Mercy Louise is perfect with Florence...
Well, this is one of the times I think American's obsession with heritage becomes a hindrance.
As a Norwegian with only Norwegian heritage (a fact I am only reminded of on name forums in...
Love your list ^^
These are all either on my list, or would have been if not for popularity, or might be once I sort through the 'might add' portion of my list!
Agatha - I'm not too fond of Aggie...
Bennett (Ben) Frank is not Benjamin Franklin, I would stop worrying :)
I adore Jane ^^
I also think 'plain Jane' with ragards to popularity is something of a myth. Jane is a lot less common than people assume, I think calling her ordinary is a little unfair (today's...
What an awesomely unexpected list!
Some of my favourites are on it, this would be my top 10:

Silence, along with Comfort and Delight are some of my ultimate GP's ^^
Silence in particular is so beautiful, I love how calm it is! And I'm usually fond of softer names ending in -ence, Laurence...

Ylva has not been mentiond, it is a Swedish name meaning wolf :)
Other than that, I have little to offer! Most names I know of have been mentioned, and the websites I would have recommended have...
Lou Bruno sounds fabulous! It rolls off the tongue, so fun!
For girls, I'm a little undecided. I like Gem Olive, but I don't like the double word name thing. Zia Olive would be the runner up for...
These are the ones I would consider myself:
Agnes + Anwen + Aoife + Clara + Elva + Ishbel + Maeve + Ophelia + Rosemary
Ailsa + Clementine + Constance + Evangeline + Rosaline +...

Do any of these strike your fancy?
Tristan Balthazar / Tristan Balthasar
So sorry for the late reply, my weekend suddenly became more busy than I had planned, and I struggled some to find the right words...
@Molly - Thank you. I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with...

I'm glad you like them! I love Leonor and Willa as well, they are quite lovely with Sasha :)
My first thought was Alasdair, I'm a little surprised no one has mentioned it yet...
Eoghan / Euan
I'm reading Silverhorse by Lene Kaaberbøl. I love her 'Shamer's chronicle', and a newer one about witches that I don't think has been translated into English yet.
It's a children's book ^^
I only like Bea pronounced BEE-uh, and I think that works fine on it's own. The BEE pronunciation I'm more hesitant about!
I added my own pronunciation of my name to forvo.com for you --> http://www.forvo.com/word/%C3%A5shild/
I'm Dearest there as well ^^
I'm thinking about the education thing, but the problem is I...
