Maria and Sophia, while a lovely set, are much too matchy to be used.
Maria and Penelope would be darling. I'd have to be cutesy with the nicknames while they were small and call them Mimi and...

I like Lola Jane Alice. She's sweet, spunky, and classic all in one go.
Matilda is lovely. She's my number one currently.
I had the same negative reaction when I slipped and told my mother we were considering Beatrice last year. She got all huffy and actually told...
Marguerite is a great name. I've always loved Marguerite Daisy, even if it's a bit redundant. I'm not fond of it with Louise though.
Violetta is a name I've overlooked. I love the -etta ending....
You chose a fantastic name for your third, even if it wasn't Louise! Mae and May are a favorite of mine as well.
I love Louise Josephine. It could be used to honor my grandfather, father,...
I really like Louise Ariana, Louise Theodora, Louise Frederica, and Louise Arabella. Thank you!
Louise Elizabeth is a bit plain, but she's so sweet.
I like these as well:
Louise Lilia is definitely L heavy. If it weren't for that I probably wouldn't have asked for suggestions. :)
I particularly like your suggestion of Louise Clementine. It's sweet and summery. ...
I've been playing with combos lately and realized Louise is rather difficult for me. What middle name would you suggest for her?
Some ideas I've had:
I'm not a huge fan of Remment. I skimmed over the paragraph at first and saw it as 'remnant'. I think that could be an issue.
I dislike the two in a sibset. They feel like they have very...

When it comes to honoring I think it's perfectly acceptable to use a masculine name or a surname in the middle for a girl.
Jane Rodolfo would be great for it's meaning to you. Plus, with a name...
I chose Adelaide from the poll, but if there was an 'other' option I'd pick Adelie or Adelais.

I love Fiona. She's faithful, intelligent, and wonderful friend who maybe geeks out every once in a while...

Bellamy Primrose trumps Bellamy Prim in my books. I'd even go so far as to suggest Prynne as a literary alternative to Prim. Or Brynn...

When honoring a Rose- name Rosemary is my go to. I find it the most appealing from your list as well.

Maevi is a sweet name. I personally don't mind that it's a nicknamey name. My issue with it is that it's so close to the words 'maybe' and 'navy' it could be confusing when spoken.

I'm just going to throw lots of names out there. :)
What do you think of these Betsy combos?
If you had to pick one to stay on my list, which would it be?
Lilia Betsy / Lillia Betsy
Wow! You all suggested some great names (the reply button isn't working for me so I'll just sum it all up). I really like these:
Amelia Betsy - I had this! I...

Laura is lovely. She's a sturdy classic whose popularity is declining. I've been thinking about the name quite a bit lately and would probably go for a more uncommon nickname as a means to "update"...
I'm loving Betsy as a middle name. She's sweet, innocent, old-fashioned, and just plain cute. The problem is finding a first name that suits her without turning saccharine.
My thoughts so far...
I love Odette! Well, most -ette names really (Odette, Rosette, Colette, etc.). I was thinking it reminded me a bit of jell-o after Nella though.
Nella Felicity and Nella Primrose are so sweet.
I'm usually a firm believer that if a close friend or a relative uses a name then it's out. However, there is a part of me that thinks if you love a name, use it. Kids grow up and move on. Your...
Nella was my great grandmother's name (Nella Mae) and one that I find appealing. So far, in the way of combos, I have...
Lila Helena is sweet. To me it's warm, creamy, and softly floral. I love it.
