My favourite is Amelia. It's rising popularity is ok because of Amelia's wide range of nicknames.
I voted for Lavender. Lavender Charmaine sounds beautiful :)

I didn't think much how to name mother of my main character. She is 37 years old in the first part (in 2008), so now (in the second part) she is 42. She is about 167 cm tall and rather slim...
I imagine her as:

I don't usually name objects, but once I named my friend's bag Elodie. Then, I decided to name my backpack too. I was talking to my friend, she asked me to remind her bag's name. I did, and I said...

In my book, there is a moment when the main heroine (Sophie) looks carefully on her family tree. I decided to draw it (with all the full names), but I don't know what names, except Mary, Ann,...

I'm from Russia. We have no official data about name popularity like in the US, but if we had, I believe these names would be top ten:
If I had a chance to change it without all those papers... I would change it to Emily. Yes, I know it's very popular, but I have wanted to be an Emily since I was about 4 years old.
I think it...

Hi, I'm Valeria. I have love/hate opinion about my name. I strongly dislike that it's growing in popularity here and I always have to spell my name to the foreigners. In my passport, it's actually...
I prefer Alice. It's a timeless classic. Elise sounds unfinished to me. I mean, it could work as a nickname, but not a full name.
You may always call her Alice, it's not very long :) Good luck!
Poll: 8. Which name?
I have considered 5 names to call a cousin of the main character. She is 16, lives in London, has long blonde hair, green eyes, 172 cm tall. Her mother is Jessica and her father is John.

I'm not in the US, so I haven't met a lot of Madisons. I know it's really popular, but I still like the name. Prefer spelled Madison, because Maddison can cause a lot of misspellings.

It's okay if somebody doesn't like Piper, everyone has different tastes :) If you both love it, then use it. In my opinion, Piper is not the best name in the world, but someone can think that it...
If I was a boy, I would have been Fedor nn Fedya. I kinda like Fedor though. Since my parents found out I am a girl, they were considering Valentina (after my grandma), Anna (I would share a name...

I know a Beatrisa age 16 or 17 from my school
First, I have to say that I don't get mythology names. I actually like Diana, but Aphrodite, Penelope, Persephone and Athina sound amful.
Secondly, I don't understand why people use heavy names...
