My mother's name is Margret, and I've tried to think of ways of honoring her too. I like Greta, which is a version of Margaret. I think Greta Jane is adorable.
Clara is currently my top name choice, I LOVE it! I think it goes well with Toby, which is my son's name.

Nope, "Ann" is pretty hard to mess up, although I constantly have people email me or write my name on something and add the "e" at the end. When we picked a name for Toby, I specifically wanted one...

Too out there/unusual - Freya, Harlow, Seren
I would probably still use Seren in a heartbeat if my husband hadn't vetoed it. :P

I second Summer, although I don't know how you feel about having a first/last name combo that ends in the same two letters. I also have an -ER ending to my last name, and I had to take out several...
I think Isla works well. I also thought of Nora right away.
