If you have the option I would avoid sharing birthdays...the transition from only child to oldest child with younger sibling(s) can be a tricky one without that extra layer added to it.
Smart choice. My husband and I didn't find out our children's genders until the day they were born and we had both a girl and boy name option selected well in advance...but when we were pressed by...
Congrats and good luck with your pregnancy!
Sebastian gets my vote far and above the others.
I see you are missing Jago and Balzac from your list ;)
Brilliant...I second this suggestion. I also just prefer the spelling of Callan to Callen :)

When I read the title of your post my immediate thought was Elora and Marina would be beautiful together.
I also think Adira would be a good fit.

Thank you for all of the responses! What controversy! I didn't realize the name would stir up so many varied opinions ranging from adoration to complete disapproval...very interesting! I hail from a...

Seymour. This name has been growing on me despite the fact (or maybe because;)) Nameberry has a less than favorable description of it....condemning it as a name "no boy may be cool enough for."
My vote is with you, not your husband....tacky
Too similar for my taste

Aside from my husband and I agreeing on the name (which was especially challenging for our daughter...girl names are tough!), my second consideration is popularity. We chose uncommon (not in the top...
Jude and Milo are perfectly suited...go with your gut on this one. Family and friends won't have anything negative to say once your little fellow is born...but if they still do then a firm but polite...
You're welcome :) good luck!
Darn cousin! Shucks.
If you love Layla and like Delilah them what about Lyla/Lilah? Or is it still too close to your cousin's little one?
Other suggestions in the same vein as Layla/Delilah:

No kidding! I actually love the name Luki since I associate it with a sweet and equally sassy childhood friend who wears it well :) but she's the only one I've ever encountered
I know of only one Ryland with a sister named Layla....I think their parents picked the perfect sibling set :) Ryland and Layla are adorable together
I've only met one Carter...so I only think of it as a male name.
I have met a couple of girls named Carson and even though I've never met a boy by that name I always think of it as a boy name.

Byron is my favourite by far! Other suggestions:
I think Nettie is a spunky name that can stand alone.
But if you want a longer version anything that ends with -nette or -netta will do the trick.
I plugged both of those endings into the...
Eloise trumps the others

I thought that it would be fun to hear about the names you have only encountered once in day to day life..since berries are such a diverse lot hailing from so many different countries maybe this will...
