Looking for suggestions to replace Alice. My friends are expecting a girl and love the name, but their surname starts with 'Sh' so the full name "Alice Sh..." Sounds a bit clumsy. I suggested Macy...
I think the best test of a name is if you personally can imagine yourself going through life introducing yourself as this name & traversing any complications/questions/opinions/confusions that it may...
If you think your daughter might ever visit/work/live in the U.K don't name her Sloane

I voted Penelope but it was a very close call with Poppy.
Good luck with your decision!

I adore Sidney: I always thought of it with the spelling Sydney though (probably because it's where I live, and that's the only reason neither of my 2 girls have the name).
Miranda - Andi
Sydney - Sid
Harriet - Harry/Hattie
Samantha - Sam
Alexandra - Alex
Could you use nn Didi, Addie or Della for Adeline?

Change table top on dresser at comfortable standing height. If you think of how many times you will be changing nappies and/or clothes, you don't want to be stooped over a bed, couch or the floor...
Congratulations firstly :-)
After that I would start by saying that every baby & every mum is a different individual, so what works for some will not work for others, so I think the best approach...
I like it, Mina is sweet but not saccharine. Spunky but still sophisticated.
There is also Meena (Indian origin)
I adore Sydney and also Sidonie
How would you spell this nickname?
I voted Ingrid but I like all of them.
I think Ingrid is cool and classy and timeless
Imogen is sweet but not as sassy as I would like.
Indigo is cute but could be seen as a bit faddy (maybe when...

Personally I think middles are really only for sentiment or tradition ie for you/your family; how many friends or colleague's mns do you know?
I'd definitely take the trade; there's nothing...
I just ADORE Astrid. I would use the nn Didi for it too.

I think you have answered your own question - why not Cora Bella?
Have you considered Beatrix as an alternative to Beatrice?
As per previous post: any middle starting with or...

My 4 year old daughter is named Lauren; a name that I liked, but didn't covet, but it was always going to be her name for various reasons, so I feel that I can relate to your post quite strongly.

My friend is pregnant with her third; big brother & sis are Rory and Beatrix. The gender of the baby is unknown, but they have picked 1 name each for boy or girl. They will not disclose any further...

Congratulations! Wishing you all the best for the gestation and birth of Bladette.
I think you will choose the perfect name for her that you & your husband love.

From your list I like William (but I really only like Will) Henry and Oscar.
Have you considered Gabriel, Milo, Jude, Blake or Maxim
Personally I would steer away from Ollie purely because it is so very popular right now. I know four Ollies (all Olivers) all 4 years old or under, just in my circle of friends and not counting other...

I like Eleanor nn Ellie
Very funny that I thought of my responses before I read through others & then saw that there were repeats of mine, which are:
Ruby and Stella (I know twins at playgroup with these names &...

I had the same worry until about 5 seconds after no.2 was born, when I was completely entranced by my perfect little bundle. I would even say that I was quicker to have that deep, deep love for my...
