Thank you all very much for the input. I need to review, compile, and then confer with DH :-).
Looking for some fresh suggestions, as our boy short-list seems lackluster. All I'm giving you to go on is that our girl choice is Dorothea Rosalind, nn Thea.
Based on that alone, what do you...
Ok for some reason, reading this thread, all I can think of is Fawkes. :-D
Thanks, all! Any others?
They do not have to be short and snappy, necessarily.
What "A" boy names can you think of that have classic roots, but a decidedly modern, fresh twist? ..or are at least primed for a comeback? Bonus points for any below the top 100. Example: Archer. ...

*sigh* he's really good at the veto, not so good at the suggestion.
I love Jasper, but can't sell it to DH. It sounds quirky and old-fashioned (in a good way) to me...in the manner of Victorian gentlemen.
Poll: To get to nn "Dash".....
Love the name/nn Dash, but I don't feel like it can stand alone. Dashiell doesn't do it for me AT ALL so I've been mulling over alternatives. Which of the options listed works best to get to...
Well...there's always Drake, if you can stand the celebrity association. :-)

No Iris and Violet?!
Love Seamus. Can't use it myself because of a family connection.
My son's name is Sullivan. He goes by Sully. We love it, and we get a lot of positive comments from others about his name...if that helps you!
Lol! Thank you. :-)
This is the last baby for sure.
Appreciate your help!
After a LOT of back and forth, we seem to have tentatively agreed on Flynn.
However I need to know if it fits with the sib set. Brothers are Sullivan and Truman. Is Flynn out of place at...
Because people (e.g. the family) l shorten it whether we like it or not. And I really dislike Ro, Ron, and Ronny. So if we don't use a nn ourselves, they will invent one of their own and it may...
I like the name but can't think of any viable, masculine nicknames.

You hit the nail on the head. Maeve is great, and I like it, but one syllable sounds really funny with our last name. Hence the variation.
I like it. :-) I think it's quirky and flows nicely. Don't be discouraged.

Our dog is Daphne. ;-)
I chose the spelling of Marlowe because it has personal significance for me. (It is kind of an "honor" name.)
Thank you all for the input. I think I'm probably too...

Perfectly happy to approach delivery with a short list for this Team Green baby...but need to narrow the field. Thanks in advance!
Open to similarly styled suggestions! :-)

Hi. I'm the one with boys Sullivan and Truman. Looking for that third boy name that fits. Have weeded out a few possibilities and added a couple. DH basically vetoes but is otherwise useless. ...
I don't know why....but I'm suddenly in love with Rutherford. It's distinguished and masculine and unusual. And DH isn't shooting this idea down.
How do we feel about this?!?
NN would be...
