I prefer it as a boy's name and actually considered it for our son at one point.
I think the same is quite pretty, albeit a little heavy, when pronounced zan-THI-pee. With the silent h, not a fan.

Deirdre. I always heard Dee-er-dray when I read it. Thought it was so pretty until I learned the correct pronunciation.

My son's name came from a dream. I also dreamt that a friend of mine who had passed wanted me to name my daughter Avarae Malisiah. (Probably sounds better than it looks).

I really like the name Maple. It's on my short list. I find it a softer, more modern version of Mabel. I'm also a big fan of 2/3 or 3/2 combos-so from your list, I like Maple Beatrice.
