I totally agree with this, on several fronts. I don't think Emiliana is difficult to pronounce--its long, certainly, (though no challenging than other 4-5 syllable names like Anastasia, Isabella, or...

We like Astor , Valentin , Lucas , Isidro ....
I don't think Valentin is unwearable at all, its my favourite from your list for sure. Lucas is obviously the safest bet, and Astor also wouldn't...
I think Nell is great. For a while I preferred Nella, but over the years Nell has grown on me as a tailored, feminine but not too flowery name--its easy to spell, pronounce, and wear. I actually...
I used to prefer Juliet, but now I've come around to Juliette, especially because I recently saw a post that suggested Juliette nn Jett, which I unexpectedly fell in love with.
I struggle with Gertrude--I want to like it, I know there's a long history of use, it has lots of nickname options, but I just can't quite get there.
I love Trudy and Greta, but don't care for...
Lately I've been really drawn to simple names that aren't too girly. Which of these is your favourite, and any other suggestions?
Pippa-Rose actually reminds me of a comment several years back here on NB regarding "Mary-Kate" (I did a quick look but couldn't find it unfortunately), where the poster was musing about the unusual...
5+ letter one syllable names... maybe:
Reese (although IMO Rhys is better)

I love how unexpected Edith Cecilia Fox is. And I prefer the spelling Cecilia.

I prefer the spelling Teagan, and would pronounce it "tee-gan"
Of the two, I think Austen would be the way to go on a girl.
I believe that it makes no sense to change your name, a major part of your identity, when you get married. I don't think having the same last name makes you any more of a family than having separate...

I tend to prefer the hyphen, so that names don't get lost. Plus, I'm a bit of a punctuation nerd, and I enjoy a little dash in the middle

Oh wow, you've got some great names on that list!
There's so much going on, I'm just going to throw out some suggestions that occurred to me while reading, even though they may not fit exactly...
I love the pp's suggestion of Lachlan.
It might also help to know what your current 2 names are?
Just curious, I've been having a little name crush lately on what I've come to think of as sprint names. Which one appeals to you most, and why?

I also really like the name Sienna--and would never have thought of it as blunt! So interesting different people's takes on names.
Like many other pp's, my SO isn't as into names as I am, so I...

From your revised list my favourites are:

Thanks for all your replies!
I spent several years living in the UK and had a good friend whose name was Lorna, pronounced "Law-na". She was from the Lake District, but anytime we were out...
Poll: How do you pronounce...
I know it varies considerably depending on whether you're British or American, but just wanted the overall opinion on how you'd pronounce this, as I vastly prefer the British "Law-na" and don't care...

I absolutely think it works as a full name, and I'm a big fan of it for many of the reasons you mentioned. It easy to spell, easy to understand, pretty but understated.
I love love love Briggs, but think that Simon fits in best in the group. I can never quite get past seeing Felix as a pet's name, and it sounds like you have that association as well, so I'd steer...
I'd be surprised if it ever became truly classic. When I think of more modern classics, Emily would probably be at the top of the list
Abree - I don't care for the spelling here
Lyra - Like
Novelle - Dislike
Allegra - Love
Ginevra - Like
Lara-Rose - Its not bad for a double name, although they are generally clunkier than...
