I hate all the Disney Channel shows nowadays. They're plain stupid. The dialogues (the whole episodes) are so poorly written, they're just bad.
I also second Spongebob and Caillou. What was wrong...
It sounds like a name that will be going up the charts in England in the next few years and then catch on in the US. Give it a few years and it will loose it's "old lady-ness".
It does sound a bit made up but also like a proper name. There's many made up names that are silly but I don't think Isabelline is a part of these.

I would go with Amalia (pronounced like Ah-mu-lee-uh) since it will be easier to spell since it is recognize as a "real" name, instead of a made-up, yoonique one.
Amira is sweet, unexpected but...

I love Charlie but am not a fan of Charles (it just reminds me of an old man), so I voted for Oliver nn Ollie which is just adorable.

While I adore Ophelia, Hazel seems to fit better with Dashiell and August.

Alexandra - It reminds me very much of Alexander, thus making it a masculine and harsh name for a girl
Amara - it's differwnt but cute, unique but not yooniqce
Amari - I like Amara better...

I see Isla as a sweet name for a little girl whose name grows up with her, so it still sounds beautiful on an adult.
June while not a favourite of mine, meets the same criteria for me. It sounds...
Do you mean the book or the name? If you're talking about the name, I could never use it since it has a very present "dick" part which means large (fat) in German and the name would sound like "my...
I think I don't get why an "X" turns into a Z.
I pronounce the X like in Alexander, so a short ks / kz sound.
Do you think the name would work like that in the english language as well? Because I...
@rkrd why do you think of little mad one? Could you please explain that to me?
I've recently come across Madita (Mah-dee-tah) again, a name I have known for such a long time but that was never on my "name radar".
It's the german form of the name "Madicken" a character (and...
That's what I think of when I hear Blair. However Gossip Girl is more popular with young adults and teenagers, so in a few years when these (me included) are grown up and have children the...
My middle name is Xenia and I pronounce it Kse-nee-uh.
Zeenia I don't care for, I find that it takes the beauty of the "X" away from the name.
The greek pronunciation is closer to Kse-nee-uh, it...
Tessa feels more fitting for your family. It's a bit modern but still somewhat classic sounding while Sylvie is more of a vintage name to me.
I say Emma-line because of the shared ending with Caroline.
Emmeline doesn't strike me as that french, so I apply the english pronunciation.

They're not pretentious but some may be a bit too much. I'd feel different (at least in the first few seconds) to meet a girl named Larissa than someone called Syracuse for example.
Isla - is very pretty. It's a name that I find very sweet on a child but that also ages fantastically well, sounding very sophisticated on an adult. Plus it has a british vibe.
Gemma - I wrote my...
