There are quite a few word names I like for girls, but far fewer I can think of that I really love for boys. What are some of your favourites?
I like the idea of giving a kid both an uncommon, offbeat name that no one else in their school will have (something like Ophelia or Emrys, for example) and a more popular, on-trend name they can use...
I love Albert but I would pair it with a different middle. Both Albert and Franklin sound like old man names, personally I would give him something a little more modern to fall back on if he didn't...
Both are great names! I voted for Beatrice because it's less popular and therefore more exciting to me.
Nora and Griffin are sweet together. I also love Euan, but I'm not a fan of the nickname EJ.
Gay is unusable. Spelling it Gaye doesn't make it any better. You could use it as a nickname, but she would inevitably ask you to stop calling her that eventually. I would feel bad for any kid named...
There could be an option to disable or enable comments for each list. I'd love to be able to make suggestions for additions to others' lists and allow other people to suggest additions to my own.
I like Brennan and Sutton with your kids' names. More ideas:
Ahh, you've read the Circle of Magic series. Those books made me love the name Briar for a boy.
If you like Shepherd, you might like... what names?

"O" names always tend to seem lively and cheerful to me. Both names that start with O (Owen, Oliver, Oscar, etc.), and names that end with O (Arlo, Leo, Milo, Hugo, etc.).

Louisa Helen Alice "Lou" or Frederick Charles Henry "Freddie"

They're both great names. I voted for Hector because it's much less common and I'd be excited to meet one.

George was the first name to come to mind--too bad you can't use it!
Other names I think would go well:
Lydia. Fiona is lovely too, though.
I prefer Ophelia to Olivia, but Olivia is better with Aaron and Juliet and Ophelia are just too much together. Juliet Olivia would be my pick from these names.
Howard is still a stodgy old man name, I'm not sure it's ready for revival yet except by the very brave. Howie is pretty cute though.
I don't usually like two word names together, but Iris Winter is very pretty. Winter isn't too out there at all, especially in the middle spot.

Helena Alice Ianthe or Frederick Hugo Erasmus
I adore a lot of mythological names and Isis is one of my favourites. With the Islamic State being in the news a lot lately though, I'm wondering if the group's acronym will affect Isis's popularity....

I would definitely avoid using A names for at least the first child to avoid establishing a theme. If you had three kids, giving the second or third an A name would seem fine to me, but if you only...
I love the name Hero on a girl, but it's a lot to live up to. I like it as a middle name, not sure about it as a first name.

I'm bisexual. It's cool to see some other LGBTQ Berries! I'd wondered how many of us there were.
Is there anyone that you would love to name a child after, but you can't stand their name? Mine are my aunts Janet and Gertrude--they're the only family members I would consider naming a kid after...
