I think maybe it depends on how obvious you want the literary collection to be. I think Eloise is a great choice if you want there to be an obvious connection.
Other literary names:

My husband probably wants to stick to Dana or Louise, but it's worth asking him. He said no to Danielle because he didn't think it was close enough. Danae might be more convincing if the...

No, I am more than happy to have new names to consider!
I like Milena from those you suggested. Love Vivienne but DH has an ex by that name.
Everyone I know is suggesting Elena, but for some...

I like Marie. I’m going to add it to my list to ask DH about. Thanks!
Wow, you are awesome! Thanks so much for the great feedback.
I think Elise works fine with the last name… it’s actually...

I feel your pain. We are trying to use my MILs name, Dana. It hasn't been working, so DH agreed to use her middle - Louise. Is your MIL's middle an option? That being said, I actually really like...

Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the responses and wasn't offended by any of them. I think I'm going to ask DH about it and see if he wants to add it to our list.
We live in the US and only...
I think it is a pretty bold choice... I am not bold enough to use it, but I do think it's pretty. I know someone whose daughter Marigold goes by Maisie. It does have a lot of good nicknames.

I feel the same way about anything -belle. Mira has lots of beautiful meanings. I especially like that it means ocean or sea in Sanskrit.

Thanks. That's interesting that it's not an issue with the toddler's Argentinian family. That makes me feel a little better about it. I think it's a really pretty name, and I love that in Sanskrit it...

DH has said no to Marielle and Mariel, both of which I really like. He might however like the nicknames you suggested (Marlie), so I will bring that up again and see what he says. He also nixed...

I really like Francesca but not the nickname "Fran". Does it have any other good nicknames?? I had not considered Valentina...hmm. I like Esme and don't think I've asked my husband about that one. Do...

Yeah, that's an issue. My mom had the same problem with it. My MIL loves the Spanish language and would probably hate it too.
Yikes! Good to know!
Ok, it's off my list as a full first name....

I voted for Nora, though I think they all go with Edie and Ike (maybe Margot less so). Honestly, I chose Nora because Cora and Sybil are names from Downton Abbey, where there is also an Edith (which...

Thank you! I'm glad you like Susanna/Susannah...I think that is my top pick at the moment. Unfortunately my husband has nixed all of your other suggestions. He's tough!
Thanks so much! There...
I agree that Lucia is going to be be frequently mispronounced. There is a Lucia who attends my daughter's daycare and she uses the 'loo-see-ah" spelling. For that reason, I'd probably go with Alba,...

I really like Beatrix Louise and Cynthia June together. Cynthia seems no more dated to me than Beatrix. I know a Cynthia in her 30's who is very smart, pretty, and successful. I don't care for Cindy,...

Personally, I think they all work. Ethan and Eva are close, but no overly so.

Rafferty Pearl - I don't care for it. Makes me think of the musician Raffi.
Henrietta Pearl - my pick of the three. Cute potential nicknames like Etta or Hattie. I'm not crazy about the full name....

DH and I agree on the names in my signature (in bold), but I am not in love with any of them the way I am with my first daughter's name. :(
Can you recommend any elegant names that maybe we...
I prefer Gemma! :)

I like Miriam Sivan!
Mia Rose & Emery Grace is my favorite combo of those you have listed.

This is a new one to my list, and I'm not sure what I think of it. Thoughts?
Does it go with Julia?
I haven't asked my husband about it yet, as he gets annoyed if I suggest a name and then...
I think Ivy and Isabel are too close. I'd go with Esme Isabel.
I voted Julia. Yes, I am biased, as that's my daughter's name, but I do feel like it flows best! Claire would be my next pick.
