I feel like you live in a non-english speaking country. From an English standpoint a silent "e" is a general rule of thumb. Names you have listed as difficult would be easily understood with English...
A family i knew had 2 children named Caden and Cadence... I was always confused which one they were talking about. They had a third and her name was Aubriana or something similar to that.

The name was after a well known preacher, Charles Spurgeon (apparently Jessa wanted to represent her spiritual influences in her child's name). I guess Charles was not a bold enough name for the poor...
I would agree with previous posters In AH-vuh-leen or maybe AY-vuh-leen. I can't think of a good alternative spelling.
