wow! Thanks so much for all the input, namergirl3! A lot of great things to think about. I am definitely going to have to try the pro/con list idea :)

@southern.maple No need to answer if this is too personal, but do you plan to have children? And if you do, would they get your surname or your SO's surname? Hyphenated?

@shalexis Thanks for your input. You definitely brought up some things SO and I have discussed - the future kids, the confusion of Mr. Blank and Mrs. Blank, etc. Also, great to point out the blended...

I am getting married in September, and I am really wavering on wanting to change my last name. Initially I thought I would just keep my maiden name as a second middle name, but the more I think about...
- Theodore (Teddy) and Harrison (Harry) (bb)
- Ezra and Elijah (Eli) (bb)
- Rosemary (Romy) & Marigold (Goldie) (gg)
- Caroline and Clarissa (Clary) (gg)
- Laurence (Laurie) and William...
Seraphina (though I would go with Sera as a nn)
Penelope (I would go with Lola)

Esme and Julien (though I prefer the Julian spelling)

I wouldn't name multiples the same way as singles, so I would use my top two girls names of the moment:

Penelope Ada and Arthur Caspian Henry
As an aside - Penelope Ada Clare/Claire sounds really nice, since you are looking for a second middle for it :)
I've got user name regret as well - mine is NOT pretty, but makes me seem like a lady of the night or something, haha. It comes from the show Gilmore Girls, which at the time I made my account I was...

Daphne vs. Phoebe = Phoebe by a hair. I like both about the same, but Daphne feels slightly stuffier than Phoebe. Phoebe just feels like a bright name, to me, if that makes any sense.
Elle vs. Eve...

I'm going to give a third nod to Theodore Henry. It would be on my list if I weren't obligated by my SO's pact to name our first son David (he's compromised that the middle can me Theodore nn Teddy...
