I love it. Duke has always been one of my favorite boy names. Unfortunately, we live in NC and close to Duke University, so my husband ruled that out as an option pretty quickly for us.
It may just be because I know only girls named Willow, but I wouldn't consider it a boys name, sorry.

I don't think it's that bad. When thinking of baby names though, I always think of the initials. However, if you truly love the name then I would go for it- there are worse initials, trust me.

I like them all (very classic) but I love, love, love the name Benedict.
Simeon or Gideon: Depends if you're pronouncing Simeon like (sim-e-in) or like Simon, as I've seen it done both ways. My preference would be Gideon, only because of the confusion of the pronunciation...
