I like it. We have a lot of Lupine where I live too. I might consider spelling it without the "e" if it was a first name just because he'd hear "Lou pine" constantly. I think it has a good sound.

My favorites from your list are Myrtle, Dahlia, Clover, Marigold, Magnolia, Daisy, Rose, Lily (just beautiful, but I know four under 6!) and Iris as first names. I really like Lavender and Blossom...
