Initials don't bother me too much. Last name begins with a B. A few combos I have spell things like MOB, JOB, DIB, etc. Those aren't big deals to me.
Things like ASS, SOB, FUK, etc would bother me....
I have Gawain on my list as a middle name but I pronounce it Gawayne. With Gawyn its firmly in Gahwin territory for the pronunciation.
I agree with a pop, if he grows up and doesn't like Gawyn he...

Casey Robert or Owen Chad
Lilyen Alicia or Hazel Jade
Thanks everyone! Eva Noelle feels a little lack luster to me as well but I can't find anything that I love with it.
I'll have to mention Milena Tamsin to OH. The more I say it the more I like it. I...

The right kind of person could pull it off. Since you don't know a child's personality at birth I would give it a "safer" middle name that they could use if Icarus is too much for them.
Last name is very similar to Becker. Youngest BIL is Oscar Becker and some days it doesn't bother me and some days it drives me batty.
Lorcan means little fierce one which is part...

Talking about work and finances and such.
My OH and I are getting married in Jan and with his current duty station it is way too expensive to have kids because it will be hard just for two of us on...
My girls list is still much shorter than my boys list but its still longer than its ever been. Most of them have a similar feel compared to my boys names which vary widely. Would any of these names...
So after a week of trying to find new names I've got the longest list I've ever had.
1. I have a ton of Biblical names. Would it be odd if all but one boy had a Biblical name? (Ex. Isaac, Levi,...
I prefer a longer name on the birth certificate and to use a nickname as it comes.
I know an old man (80s) who detests the fact that his name is Bobbie Mike. He often introduces himself as Mike and...

My name is Erin and I've gone to school with various Aarons. Being in the Midwest US they are almost identical the only difference being a slight different in Air-in (Erin) or Air-ohn (Aaron). Mary...

I'm reading all these issue people have named Erin and I'm wondering why I've never had them. My name wasn't horribly common for the year I was born. I've met one Erin old enough to be my mother and...
Say: They seem to be enjoying themselves. And three girls? That has to be fun.
Think: I love Piper Cecily. Effy is too much of a nickname but Arabella is gorgeous as is Willa Harlow.
These are my...

When you manage to slip names into daily conversation and then are slightly shocked by the stark comparison of "good" names and "bad" names on the same list. (I just saw Lysander on the same list as...
Say: Hello boys! Are you enjoying the day with your mom?
Think: I love Lorcan Christopher. Its easily said from looking at a page. Fiach isn't my style at all, nor is Aoife but their middle names...
I just don't know. His entire family is a repetition of the same six or seven names over and over and over including middle names. Every once in a while a gem pops up that hasn't been used recently...
If been iffy on the name Henry for a while. I wanted to love it. Its distinguished, it isn't too common where I am, it isn't too nerdy and I like the nn Hank. Then I found the family tree for DH's...

No children yet but DH and I have discussed it at length. We don't have so much a checklist so much as "do we have some money set aside for emergencies?". Right now we're waiting until he can switch...

I don't have kids yet. OH is sold on naming our son Isaac with a G middle name and calling him Iggy or just Zac.
He and his siblings all go by some nn. Marty, Clay, Leo/Meatloaf, Frank, Oscie...
My BIL is a Clayton who goes by Clay and I know a 7 month old that is Clayton.
I love both Clay and Clayton. I don't see it as stuck up, in fact it seems pretty laid back and relaxed to me. Clay...

The head scratchers come from my friends, not nameberry. Siren Sparrow, sisters Isabella, Gabriella, and Arabella and ones like Ramsey Acheron.
The ones on nameberry that leave me confused are a...
There was a list a mile long for me. Dad wanted me to be Cheyenne, Shy Anne, or Eleanor. Mom wanted Hannah Grace or Samantha Shay. Due to circumstance my grandmother named me and I became Erin...

Les0nik, J0nj0ck and Aresn@ult are the ones that stand out the most to me. I find J0nj0ck particularly fun to say.
