Mac William. Maverick doesn't necessarily have a positive connotation as a word. Moreover, I'd classify it as a "cowboy wannabe" name.

I don't think sibsets really matter... children are individuals. That being said, Aberdeen is much better with Jedediah than Magnus. Jed has always felt soft to me, whereas Magnus is hyper-masculine....
I'm not big on place names... but Everest and Caspian are 2 of my exceptions. I think it's interesting and manly.

I don't think Smella or Ella Phant are usually an issue. My SIL and brother almost named their daughter Ella, but the last name starts with Fant-, so it was quite inadvisable.
