I agree with what people have said about 'dated' names. Heather, Jennifer, Jason, etc were all common in the 80s, but are not common anymore so I think of them as a 'time-stamp' name. Names like...
Isla--Lovely, a little exotic and pretty. I've been hearing it a lot on newborns, it might be getting popular.
Sadie--This is so cute and spunky.
Neva--I'm not sure how to say this, but it comes...
What about Myra?

@irislenora I sent you a personal message here on nameberry!

@irislenora of course!
Of your options listed (aside from Nicholas), I like Oliver best with Stella. Samuel gets you into an 'S' pattern and Luca and Stella are a little sing-songy together.
If Nicholas is still the...

Hi, I think I saw a thread recently about name pals, but it was mostly teenagers talking names. I'm wondering if anyone wants to be name pals who is actually expecting or has kids and are thinking...

TESSA! I think it's perfect with your set!
Other ideas for a girl:
I'm really not a fan of boy's names going to girls. I get that some names are more 'unisex' than others (although this is not my taste either), but I realllllllly don't like when distinctly boy's...
This was our top girl name for my son before we found out we were having a boy, so I thought about all of these issues a lot!
1. Anneliese is the traditional spelling and is pronounced (at least...
I love the names Anna and Eloise and I wasn't sure what I was going to say until I read the full name and when I read Eloise Claire I SIGHED. Because it's gorgeous.
I think either way, both first...
Winter maybe....I like the idea of what someone said above of using Win/Wynn as a nickname, but I also think the "Winnie" names are coming back from girls, so I'd likely put Winter in the middle spot...
I'm a big fan of arrested development (which has hilarious names--George Michael, Gob, Buster) and I've been watching Transparent which also stars Jeffrey Tambor. Despite being a bit older, I just...
I know 4 Henrys all under the age of 4. I only know one Noah and he is my age (30s).
Harriet! I love the nickname Hattie.
Another vote for Nora.
Great name and Ada Kate works, and while Ada is short, it is two syllables, so I don't think using it with one syllable last name is out of the question.

I want to know which of your boys' names...
1) ...is the most unusual? Macaulay
2) ...is the most traditional? Louis
3) ...is the most urbane & sophisticated? Penn
4) ...is the...

I love Emma. I think it's classic and you can't go wrong with Emma. I only know one and she's a pre-teen. I know one Mia, and she's 4. That's saying a lot b/c I work with elementary school kids.
I love this idea and I really like the nicknames. I would agree that a different middle for Oskar may work better.
I'm afraid I agree. They never even publicly confirmed the pregnancy and they're really private, so I doubt we'll know the name. I'm sure it's something that can be pronounced in Spanish just as in...
