We would use the Ray spelling (if we use that combination) since it was the spelling of his great grandmother's last name.
Hello berries! I'd like to get some fresh feedback on our namelist for a potential future daughter. Any feedback is appreciated. Mary/Mariel/Ray are all family names we would like to incorporate in...

Hey berries. Just looking for new feedback.
My hubby and I won't be trying to add to our family for another 6-8 months, but I'm a name nerd and since we have a tough time coming to agreement on...

My daughter is named Lillah. As far as I have seen, there are only 2 accepted spellings of the name: Lilla or Lillah. My husband chose the Lillah spelling for our daughter since I found the name.

My DD is Lillah (the other spelling is Lilla), and one reason we chose her name is that it derives from Elizabeth. (Both my mother and my grandmother have the middle name, Elizabeth.) it also means...
We do tend to favor Biblical names for boys especially, not so much for girls. I do think that you all are eight and it's a's I suspected that Caanan is too close to Christian....
Oh and I am a bit put off by the fact that is sounds close to our daughter's name, Christian. Is it too closeto be usable?
Wdyt of this name?
We are pretty much set on Silas, but I'd like to have a back-up name too. Others I have considered are Ezra and Jude (if we don't use it for a middle with Silas)
I am very biased, but I also love Lilla. (Our youngest is named Lillah, the alternate spelling.) Its such a soft and feminine name. We get compliments on it all the time, because it is so rare.

Saul "asked for" (but the bad character may be too much to overcome IMO)
Silas "woods/forest" (nature name)
Elias "The Lord is my God" (a form of Elijah)

I have a 21 month old son, and I would never consider changing his name now. His first word, at about 6-7 months or so was his own name (Elijah, though he said "Lijah" we all knew he was repeating...

Hmm not a fan of Macy. It lacks substance to me...but thank you.
Whichever name we don't use between Juliet and Mercy, the other name will be put go to choice in the event that we have 2 more...

I think it's in the 180s (including combined spellings) as of last year. I'd hate to see it jump inside the top 100 before I get to use it. But you're right...I will still use it anyway, if that is...

Haha, no I take no offense. We have given our pets interesting names as well (Ahab, Maverick, Naomi, Gideon, Chord, etc.)
From what I can ascertain, Lilla/Lillah derives from Elizabeth (which is...

That's funny about the Weeds character. I have never watched the show.
The hubs and I talked about the name almost 10 years ago, and just haven't ever used it.

My husband and I are pretty set on Silas Jude as a name for a future son. I wanted to see what the general consensus is on Silas. This far I have gotten mixed feedback.
We have two sons already...

Thanks for all the helpful feedback. I do think Juliet will probably be our go to name for next time. Do you think it stands a chance of breaking the top 100 soon? I know it surged a ton last year,...
I love Everett!!

Oh and I forgot to mention that I definitely feel like Juliet fits well with Lillah, and has that same romantic feel I get from our youngest's name.
The only downfall with Juliet is the growing...

Thanks everyone. :)
I think Juliet has the slight edge for me too, though I do love both names. (It doesn't hurt that these are the ONLY 2 girl names that my husband approves of...he is so picky.)...
