Marlowe for SURE. Love that name!!! Feminine and not overly popular, but not weird.
Elisabeth is a great name! Once you have her, then you can see which nickname fits her - you don't have to decide now :) I like both Libby and Elsa.
These associations are all so positive! Thanks for the feedback :)
We are considering Elise for our little girl. What do you think of this name, and what do you associate with the name?

We have a little guy named Caleb already, and are looking for a name for his sister, who is due soon! We don't want anything that starts with a 'C' because we don't really want to continue that trend...

Absolutely LOVE Margot. It's high up on my list. The other ones are also adorable - classy, not too far "out there" but also not popular, and feminine. I think they sound great together and would be...

These responses are all so helpful! Thanks. I agree with Adelaide being more of a softer, sweeter girl and Eliza being a little bit more spunky... maybe I'll just have to wait and meet her before I...

We are deciding between Eliza and Adelaide for our baby girl. The middle name is non-negotiable, a family name, Yvonne.
Meaning: sweet, noble
Nickname would be Ada (Ay-duh) - we...
Both are SO cute!!!! I chose Ruby - it was on our list, but my husband said no. It's also less popular than Scarlett I think :)

We basically have it narrowed down to:
Adelaide (nickname: Ada): sweet, noble
Penelope (nickname: Penny / Poppy): weaver.
What are your thoughts on these names? Popularity, sound, nicknames,...
Pronouncing Zoe as "Zo-e". I've seen the 'Zoey' spelling, too, but we haven't totally decided yet (if we even choose that name!).
Nicknames are hard for Adelaide, even though there are quite a...
You are so encouraging! Thank you for all of your input - it is much appreciated :)
Thanks for the input! Choosing a name is difficult.
We have a son named Caleb and are having a baby girl this fall. Which name do you like best? We have it narrowed down to three, but are always open to suggestions. We like names with good meanings...
My first thought goes to Darla from the Little Rascals, which ruins it a bit for me. However, totally a usable name if you love it!

LOVE Edith with the possible nickname of Edie :)
This analysis was super interesting! I didn't even notice this about a lot of the names that we chose. Elise is definitely the softest-sounding name on my list - I think that is actually what was...
I love the Delle nickname suggestion for Adelaide! Super cute.
Which do you like best? Trying to narrow down our choices :)
Adelaide (Ada / Laidey)
Penelope (Penny / Poppy)

Thanks for all the help! Very encouraging. I also love the suggestion of Lola as a nickname! I have never heard that one for Penelope before, but it's adorable.

I love Margaret. You can use Maggie as a nickname. Another consideration that is similar is Margo/Margot/Margaux :)

We love the name Penelope. It is one of the ONLY names that my husband is okay with - which makes it a big deal since he's been saying "no" to basically everything!
Personally, we don't know any...
