Diane/Dianne is a lovely name that is due for a comeback. It's rare to find a new little Diane, and it's such a beautiful classic. A strong female name with an ancient history.
I like Cardinal as a name.

I think Eloise Diane would be a classically winsome choice and a wonderful tribute to your late grandmother. And I do think one middle is best.
My favorite season name for a girl is actually Spring. Winter feels more like a boy's name, and Autumn and Summer seem somewhat dated.
Jack and Diane, by John Cougar Mellencamp
There are other –ing names out there, such as Bing, Ving, Fielding, Channing, Spalding, Mingus, Kingston, and Ingrid, so the sound is not that unusual.
It is a beautiful first name, and I do know a woman named Spring. My son is named Springer :-)

I think Diana is a bit passé now, and Diane is much fresher.
Warner and Sutton, twin girls.
I think Swansea, Shire, Shasta, Cyane, or Spring would be great.

What about Sparrow?

A beautiful choice would be Spring.
I think Diane itself is the obvious choice...classic, yet fresh again and ready for a return. Mira Diane or Ivy Diane both sound very beautiful.
