Rosalie is my of my favorite names.
With Nora and Molly, I like Cate or Eve/Eva. Catherine and Evelyn seem long and formal next to Nora and Molly.

I think Vermont works as a name. The first syllable brings to mind Vernon and,as you already noted, the second syllable brings to mind Monty.
I am not sure why you would consider it an autumnal...

You may want to think about how your son may feel when he is older. My cousin is the oldest son of his generation in a family that had several generations of the oldest son with the same name. .......
To get to Dora as a nickname, I prefer Theodora.
With Matilda and Joseph, I prefer Dorothy.
While I like Kate with Lauren, it doesn't sound like it is THE name for this baby. Some ideas..

I would consider angel names Gabriel or Raphael (or the female versions). Or perhaps go with Christian (Christina). Faith is another option of a little girl.

I think Caroline and Josephine are fantastic first names.
