Congratulations & best wishes to all on this thread!
I love Nameberry although I don't post on the forums very often. I figured I would join this one though since the Hubby and I just found out we...
I love this thread! Thanks for starting it!
Paternal Grands = Armando & Hortencia "Tangy"
Maternal Grands = Robert Weldon (called "Weldon" as a child, "Bob" later in life) & Melba Ruth
A friend's daughter was born around Christmas. She named her Belen Estelle. Belen is Bethlehem in Spanish and Estelle is Star, so essentially her name is Bethlehem Star. It might be cheesy to some...

I have a 12 year old silky terrier named Maple (still can't get over the fact that ppl are naming their daughters Maple! to me it's forever a dog's name!) & a 3 year old cat named Finnick nn. Finn,...

Ooo! I'm in the Aviation industry too so this will be fun for me!

Aeronaut nn. Aero
Embry (for Embry Riddle University)
Boeing nn. Bo...
I just got my first ever iPhone. I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good Apps for a name nerd :D I'm not trying to name a child quite yet but I'm interested in having something that...
I love it! It goes perfectly with your son Asa's name :)

I would have voted for Boden if Jasper wasn't on the list. Jasper is a long time favorite (as in pre-Twilight!) and I would love to see more little Jasper's running around! :D

Haha! Thought I was the only one! Actually, the only names my husband will consent to like are from video games! There are actually a few with potential among all those strange ones! :)
I think if it had family significance that changes the game a little bit. I don't know if the Apple I met has any significance behind her name but it didn't really occur to me until you brought it...
I met a real-life Apple this week! Not to say that Gwyneth Paltrow's Apple is not a real person, I just never thought I'd encounter this name on anyone other than a celebrity's child.
The Apple I...

Funny, I'm on a similar kick right now. I'm loving Renata! Especially with nn. Ren. I've never really liked Renee but still love the meaning of it. I think the Renae spelling is slightly better. ...

I voted for Maeve Eliette. I have to admit that I really don't like any form of Elliott for a girl but as far as sound this combo seemed to have the best flow. Runners up for me would be Maeve...

I love all 3 names separately and together! Honestly, I know about the Chevy Nova & Planet of the Apes references but they are not the first things I think of when I hear the name. Others might...
I can't stand MacKenzie. Other "mac" sounding names are not as bad to me. Makenna for example sounds rather pretty and looks nice (as long as the k remains lower case!) but something about the look...
Thank you! I like Tilly, Tali & Detty best.
Ottilie, I hope you didn't have to deal with too much trouble from boys over "The Story of O"! I wasn't aware of that story so thanks for the heads...
Hello Berries! I'd like to solicit some opinions on the below.
I'm really starting to love Od-/Ot- names (possibly for future children if any of them pass through DH's scrutiny!). Examples of...

I love Emerson Kate & Roby James together. Idk how you would feel about the nn "Emmy" for Emerson but I think little Emmy & RJ or Emmy & Ro would be just about the cutest thing ever!
Best of luck...
