Ingrid Adele is utterly charming!

They are ALL nice literary heroines! Maybe get 3 cats...?

A few of these are punny which I appreciate, but I cannot take seriously - Dorian (grey!) Catsby! Crookshanks/Aslan/Pi and the like are too 'on the nose' for me/have associations (Sephora, Isis,...

I like Hector, Jocasta and Persephone. I also like Titania but if I suggested that for my cat, my roommate will name HER cat that! To be fair, she is very devoted to Shakespeare's Titania :)

Oh! I really love Pandora. Love love love. But I have a friend named Pandora...I think that would be too weird/confusing. Grrr. It's a perfect example of the kind of name I'm looking for!

Nope....my old roommate had a long-haired cat. I'm a short-haired cat person for life :)
And no to Minnie as well - I hear Minnie, I think Mouse!
Stop talking to them and start talking with a therapist, or any other adult who can professionally take your feelings as valid.
(what I wish I had done instead of stopped talking to them and...

Although I am child-free by choice, I personally would rather adopt than under-go even potential fertility treatments.
Perhaps this is my oversimplification of an issue I don't expect to ever...

Like I said in my first post, I'm willing to re-consider the possibility ten years from now - but even now, I think that my re-consideration will be limited to adoption and no more than...

As part of my roommate agreement, my future roommate and I are getting a kitten each!
Sadly, this future rooming situation is not set to take place until next year (hopefully, early spring once...

I've given myself a ten year re-evaluation checkpoint just to be absolutely certain, but I am child-free by choice.
This was not as easy choice either. There were lots of different factors and...

Zyla Amelie is gorgeous, and I like Zyla Wren. But perhaps a version of Rose?

I love Beatrice best of all, but since your future daughter would have the Hispanic heritage, I think Beatriz would be a gorgeous way to honor both of her parents, keep the Bea nickname and avoid the...
Seconding this. I also liked the suggestion of Ariadne Venus - Ariadne Rosebud Venus?

You are right on the difficulty! My first answer was Kennedy and Brooke, but those are too popular to be unusual.

I'm starting to see a few more kids with very Nameberry names! Still hugely out-ranked by the Emilys and Catherine/Katherines of the world though.
I've always pronounced it "Bee-on-ca".
I like Bianca a lot, especially for it's Shakespeare references. I don't like Pamela for personal reasons and I don't care for it as a middle to Bianca...
I've always liked Elora - I first heard it on a high school girl when I was in school and she had the most absolute perfect last name to go with it.

Generally, I learn the BAD kids' names first ;)
Great point about Aleksander though - I should remember not to jump to conclusions.

I don't post much here anymore (although Nameberry is still my #1 source of all things naming related) but I thought it was worth sharing a tidbit of my experiences - I'm working as a substitute...
Hector and Miranda.
I love both Cora and Cordelia equally... :(

Sybil, Prudence and Victoria are definitely on the right track! Any other suggestions? :)
