I think that Blanche is name for all ages, even the teenagers. When she finally reaches her teen years, her friends could call her ann/annie if she doesn't really like using the whole name.
I agree, Vada is a very sweet name. I prefer it to Jada any day! I think Vada Margaret sounds nice but still like the sound of Vada Marigold.
