I love the suggestions of Ariel, Eleanor/Elinor, Elora, Eliza, and Brielle (couldn't use that last one, though...her uncle Brian would always joke that we named her after him! Ha!).

I also really like the middle name Hermione. I'd probably use it, especially if I could get my husband to agree to Elspeth. ;) Elspeth Hermione...

I'm not pregnant (currently...) - just planning ahead! :D
I really like the short, sweet "Elle" as a nickname, but I'd want a longer name to draw it from.
I'm not into common names for girls,...
Lavendyr, my name is Bethany and my younger sister's middle name is Elizabeth and we never even think about the similarity. (I never go by Beth, though, so maybe that makes a difference?)
Awww, thank you! That's my name. :D I think it fits me perfectly, too. I say it's a great name to get Beth from! It gets my vote. :D
Both are lovely! :)
Girl names that seem especially frilly or fancy sometimes give off a snotty vibe to me. For example:
Hi, rosieposie! Thanks for your list of ideas. We had actually already picked a new name - Corinna, which was on your list! :)
I loved finding out the sex of our first baby myself - I was...
Thank you, all!
It's amazing the transformation this name change has done for my husband's excitement about the baby. Before, he might occasionally put his hand on my stomach to feel her move...
Thank you, everyone! :) I will try to remember to post in the birth announcement section this time - I completely forgot with my son!

Zebedee and Elsbeth - what a fun set of siblings! I think Tabitha or Barnabas would work excellently with your other children's names. For middle names for Tabitha...Tabitha Leora (Tabby Lee) or...
This evening my husband and I sat down with the iPad and he went to Nameberry to look around a bit, as I had suggested. I asked him what he *disliked* mainly about Cora, and he...
thetxbelle - Myriam is a pretty spelling! Interesting that it's the French version. I like both, but I'd probably go with the more traditional spelling because the Y spelling does almost seem like...

I think a lot of people use "William" and then shorten it to "Will" or "Liam", so you don't hear a lot of parents addressing their baby by the full name. (I know a couple with a toddler they call...
So, I talked it over with my husband last night. I tried to explain more accurately how I feel about the name - that renaming her at this point would result in unfulfilled expectation because it...
I love Hermione! Personally, I'd only use it in the middle name position because of the immediate association with Harry Potter, but it is such a sweet-sounding name. Esme isn't my style,...
I am definitely leaving the "burden of renaming" at his feet. :) And whatever he finds, he needs to LOVE it and be excited about it for me to be willing to swap. If he finds it too tough to find...
Yes, we didn't find out the gender with my son and I'll definitely want to do that again next time. It's practically impossible for me to know the gender and NOT start using the name, because my...
just.say.no.to.e - But, in your case, Lulu was a nickname and you knew all along that it wouldn't be the child's name after birth. It's kind of a different scenario with Cora. I know whatever name...
Thank you, everyone. I'm glad I'm not alone in having vivid impressions of the baby-to-be-born and attaching the name to those ideas so tightly. :)
Regarding Coraline, Coralie, Coralyn, etc. - I...
Our daughter's name had been settled - Cora Melisande - since almost the beginning of my pregnancy. Now, with 10 weeks until the due date, my husband confessed to me that he doesn't like it anymore....

Oh my word, Annie85...your name style and mine are SO similar! I love almost all those names. :) I'm kind of considering Alice Josephine for our expected baby, and Margaret was an old MN idea for...
Blair isn't my style at all, and I don't usually like unisex names or boyish sounding names on girls. That said, I actually kind of like it! I like it better with an E at the end...Blaire just...

Maxwell is my favorite of your list. (And Maxine is cute for a girl, too.) Maximus makes me think "gluteous maximus", I'm sorry to say... Maximilian is nice, especially if you're going to shorten...
