Our first daughter is Charlotte Suzanne (middle is after my mom), and we're looking for a name for our second due in August. Her middle name will be Lucia (loo-sha) (after her great-grandmother). ...
And, if it helps, here are our criteria:
-classic but not boring
-name to carry her into adulthood but cute for a baby
-not too contrived (I worry that Florence...
Anna/Ana would be my pick.
I agree that Marlene seems dated. I love Marlowe for a girl.
Last name is 4 letters, short and starts with C.
Middle name will be Suzanne - a family name.
Ava (though I worry this is too popular)
Anyone else want to weigh in on this? We're getting close and stil can't decide!
I love Magnolia Pearl. LOVE.
Middle name will be Suzanne, and we have a one-syllable last name.

I love Maia or Maya, or how about just Milla? (Mee-ya)
Milania is a bit too much name in my opinion, and I prefer the soft A sounds to the eee sounds in your other picks (ie Lina).

Thanks so much, everyone! Any ideas of something similar to these names but less popular? I love names that have potential for nicknames like Lula, Lola, Lottie, Emma, Etta etc.
My favourites are Molly and Poppy. Temple and Pepper are a bit too harsh sounding to me, and Effie is a bit too frilly.

I love Tallulah and am too timid to use it myself!
Mine is a bit short...
Charlotte (nn Lottie)
Amelia (nn Milla)
Sophia (nn Sophie)
Tallulah (nn Lula)
the first thing that comes to mind for me is the allergy medication, which is a shame, because it's lovely.
My favourite with your last name is Sofia.
