I kinda get what you're saying about the style of names. It is frustrating to see someone suggest Ophelia and Poet a list of Kristin, Rachel and Amy. Though Rowan and Rowena have similar letters,...
Hello everybody! I just wanted to brag about my two new handsome feather men. I have two zebra finches. I named one Cormoran and the other is Bristow.

I mean, I would use the names Peter or Joseph, but not together and definitely not PJ, one of my exes. The others are just kinda whatever. I think it depends on how serious it was too, because I...

I'm not crazy about Alysabeth, but since you're using it to honor, and you want to use it, I would put it in the middle. That way you don't have to worry about your daughter having to constantly...

When I was in high school I was so into genetics, I wanted to major in biology and be a geneticist. Somewhere along the lines I decided to major in English instead. In the school I went to, the...
I figured the Madeline spelling would be the consensus. Would it be too much if I then dressed her in a little yellow trapeze coat?:o
I love the suggestions of:

I wouldn't go. I would suggest doing a Stagette dinner a few weeks or so before hand. A lot of people are pregnant while in others' weddings, so it's not uncommon to do something like that to...

In high school I'd taken the basic biology course, and then the AP biology class. Five years and an English degree later Linnaeus wasn't my first thought.

With big brother Gavin I would say
Caleb Michael and Fiona Lynn Wright.
I would have chosen Keira or Aubrey, but I think the R sounds are hard to say with Wright immediately after.
I really love the name Katarina, it's frilly but has a slew of diverse nicknames if that name doesn't fit (Kat, Kate, Rina, etc). Katarina makes me think of winter and warm jackets.
I'm not fond...
I can't help myself from loving this name right now, I've tried and I can't help it.
I'm pronouncing it like mad-uh-line. I understand the pronunciation for Madeleine is with the "ehn" sound....
I agree with this post. Just because right now you live in an area with a low Jewish population, doesn't mean you will forever. You could move somewhere more heavily populated. Or imagine a day when...
I think there is a difference between,
"Amber Skigh Buttercuppe is trashy. Ew, why would you think that's okay", and
"Amber Skigh Buttercuppe will be seen as trashy because it's mispelled and...
I've been noticing this a lot more lately as well. I'll probably get blasted for this, but I notice this a lot more with newer, younger posters. While there are some "Senior Members" which I tend to...

Oh! Desmond Sanders makes me heart putter. What a great name. Congratulations!

I would chose something different. The scars of being cheated on never really go away, they're something that stay with you, even if you have moved on. Now, it's your choice whether to knowingly do...
Thank you for pointing that out. My fingers were a couple steps ahead of my brain I guess!
I think the only redeeming quality for Amzie is that it does have that family history.

I'm watching an episode now, and this little girls name is Iysla. It's pronounce EYES-luh.
That's funny, because Amzie and Ledger were the ones that made me pause. When I hear Ledger I just think of an inventory. I think my favorite really is the dog's name Sommer.
There is a TV show on Lifetime called Pretty Wicked Moms. It's somewhat like a Real Housewives kind of show in Atlanta, Georgia. Their kids have some interesting names. I'm breaking this up by...

I think the reactions here are far kinder than they would be in real life. Names spelled incorrectly with "Leigh" on the end are very popular for girls right now. Add that to the fact you'd be giving...
My aunt was called Sassy by her family. Now that the kids are all older she goes exclusively by her given name, Kathy. It's weird to picture an adult with such a childish nickname.

My boyfriend knows I'm on a name forum, though I don't think he knows how often or the name. I never really talk about it with him.
My mom and best friend know a little more how obsessed I am.
